elisderyn 496
Basically do you risk filling in the form on the plane & just fib a bit & write "No" about criminal convictions or do you apply for a Visa ............. I have asked people & been online looking & its about 50/50 at the moment & basically as long as prison wasnt involved you should be ok by not admitting anything.......... My missus is stressing me out about it & I dont know what to do to be honest...... Edited June 22, 2009 by elisderyn

riohog 5,939
i wouldnt risk trying it on aply online for a esta 90 day visitors visa these days there is not much you can hide and us homeland security would not be best pleased if they found out you had put down false info it could be bloody expensive if they put you on the next plane back or lock you up
SportingShooter 0
Come clean before you go or you could end up with a Rejected stamp on your Visa and a surprising night alone on a plane home. You might as well apply before you go and know either way, than arrive there, they run your name through there systems, don't forget they have access to UK security and intelligence information, your name comes up with a conviction and you've ticked no. Even if it isn't a serious offence, lying on official documents is a fresh offence which they will send you home for.

elisderyn 496
I really f*****g hate socks............... You have to fill in the online waiver form now & the section regarding "moral turpitude" is the box that I am going to tick "NO". I think if you go down the visa application road your opening a can of worms & can f**k it up for yourself. My understanding is that the US officiados have'nt got access to British criminal records so unless your the UK's most wanted you should be ok..... Thanks all.............except socks who is a turd blower......

Sighthound 49
What did you decide Elisderyn? I'm hoping to go to Vegas to get married (thought it was the right tine after 27 years living together ) Thinking of not declaring my 'threatening behaviour liable to cause a breach of the peace' but the travel agent told me that she knew someone that got turned away in the States and was carted away in handcuffs and put on the next plane home which apparently cost him a fortune! Have also been told that motoring offences that resulted in a court appearance also count
