gnasher16 30,949
the reason why i mentioned my family back is purely because i have a fair idea of what being an immergrant means, the benefit of neasden temple to any area of london is that it adds the same advantge as a park or church is that it helps the local peoples wellbeing, in hope that if people are at peace with themselves that they will be less likely to impose negativity on others , , of course easier said then done!i grew up in a poor part of north london, so i can relate to how horrible it tis to see change and i agree that the area is rougher then before and has lost the atmosphere it once had, i'm sorry to hear about your parents mate, my dad died of cancer due to his stubberness so i know how it feels to be fighting a losing battle, but evidently they are happy where they are and don't want to move, sounds a tad hippyish but enjoy spending the time you have with them before its gone, you'll regret it if you can only mainly trying to convence them the opposte of what they wish to do , , trust me so to ease me curiosity which part of east london then mate x x Born just off roman rd bethnal green and up till 10 years ago moved about between shoreditch, bow right along to canning town......hence the last ten years away has been like a breath of fresh air ! Lets have it right....neasden temple was not put there for british people.....how many white people do you ever see walking in or out of a temple ? My point being......asking people to change and accept other cultures is one thing......forcing different cultures on whole areas is taking the piss ! Your from north london.....as a lad we would visit finsbury park for a holiday .....nowadays you take your life in your hands just walking through it !...have a stroll along seven sisters rd and tell me thats geared up for white or even british londoners Edited June 16, 2009 by gnasher16

doga 50
a few decades the likes of the bnp hung the "no dogs..no irish" signs on shops and pubs. they've just changed it now to "no muslims" cos we're not as differnt as them. firstly ill explain that i dont apose irish folk half my relatives are irish other half english whats up with that.seeing signs on doors saying such things has got to hert very badly, ive been treated that way by irish people but my own ansestors were part of that discrimination so it must have been because i speak english so who is the racist.it seems to me folk just jump on the wagan to suite.the british isle are just that no native in them are different except in language. As for neasden temple.....i tell you what was there before, homes of british mostly irish people as the area was traditionally an irish area the same as stamford hill has always traditionally been a jewish area, etc etc.....can you imagine what would happen if the worlds biggest church was built in the middle of new delhi....doesnt even need explaining really does it......like i originally said, london is no longer for traditionally london or british people,to think it is.....is either brainwashed or naive.
