Dog or Bitch

Hi everyone. Ive only ever seen dogs working, never a bitch. Was just wondering what peoples preference would be in a working lurcher as in gender, and also what advantages one would have over the other in trainability, working ability etc if there are any

 

Would appreciate any info and opinions

this is my opinion mate bitches learn quicker than dogs but a bitch goes down hill at 2 half. a dog comes on slower but can go a few years longer than a bitch.this is my opinion so dont want to be insulted or called names.because thats how alot of threads end up. people cant have a conversation on this site.

you av definatly got that wrong about bitches i would say it was the other way round if it wer true.

bitch for me mate,they seem more loyal imo,as for going downhill at 2 an half, what a load of shite,theyve hardly done owt at that age,theyve certainly got more work ahead of em than behind em

work it out for yourself, most females, spars, lions, gos,males are lazy, bitches work harder, it aint rocket science, who feeds and tenders the children, a female.

a bitch in season puts on weight she gathers fat around intestinal area including heart which make have less stamina not make her slower in season should have 10 or 11 weeks off work as she will not be at her best but not make her a bad dog just less puff

one thing i can work out for myself is that you dont half talk some shite,spars,lions and gos,well 1 out of three aint bad i suppose so what youre trying to say is when a female spar or gos catch something in the wild,the male comes along and takes the spoils,thank feck its not rocket science

I would go bitch every time,loyal and once there hunting that's all they want to do,As a example take em to a park they will want to hunt the squirrels or rats. Dogs will want to sniff around marking territory ect. Its true a lot of people don't run there bitches when in season because of the fat thing, but i run mine through when your dogs run enough you should take it home in season or not.The way i understand it a running dog is at its fastest and strongest at 3. I find mine to be at there best in there 3rd or 4th seasons hunting and they know how and when to use there speed and know all the tricks, all my dogs so far have lamped rabbits very well till 6 or 7 when they really start to slow.If your dogs done at 2 1|2 your working it to hard to early,In my opinion. Any way definitely bitch.
