Show organisers throughout the UK & Ireland can apply to host qualifying events for the Master Mc Grath Challenge - to find the fastest lurcher in the UK & Ireland - final to take place at the Irish Game Fair & Flavour Fine Food Festival , Shanes Castle , Antrim on the 29th & 30th June. This fair also hosts the 26th All Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Championships so a really big weekend for working dog owners. Each qualifier gets a limited edition cap, a commemmorative scroll, two tickets to the fair and UK qualifiers received £50 towards their travel costs ( payable on arrival -

England Stonelands Championship Show Report

Stonelands Autumn show took place on the 9th December, later than previously scheduled due to wet weather and water logged land, and was this time held at Coombe Park equestrian centre near Totnes in South Devon. The day started with the Stonelands Bull X Lurcher Championship 2012 where dogs had qualified at numerous local shows during the year, Judge for this championship was Mr Mark Sherwood who had 14 quality dogs to choose his final 6 from with the results being; Stonelands 2012 Champion was Tilly owned by Denise Southcott, Reserve Champion, Spook owned by Robert Mortimore, 3rd Broc owned -

On Saturday December 15th; this year we will be holding our annual Xmas Charity Auction and Raffle. We are supporting the East Mids Air Ambulance this year, so come along and support this worthy cause. There will be the usual two raffles, one for paid up fell & moorland members only, limited to one ticket each (only 20, £10.00 tickets for this one) and the second for anyone as many £5.00 tickets as you want. Hi, can any one point me in the right direction in getting a club or race meet for a young lurcher of 7 months,now the showing season is comming to an end, would like something to do for the winter months, and the pup loves to run and would like to get her introduced to racing. I live in Northants area, and would be willing to travel up within 50 miles radius of that area, can any one point me in the right direction please how I would go about it. Woodys Mum

October 13th & 14th, Robinhood Game & Country Fair at Newark showground, Notts, NG24 2NY. The coursing crew will be running all lurcher & terrier events over the weekend. Robin Hood Game & Country Show, Suffolk Showground, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP3 8UH, The Coursing Crew will be running the lurcher & terrier events. Entries for the Simulated coursing will be from 8.30am to start when first card full, straight racing under 21" charity race (proceeds to East Midland Dog Rescue) 23" & under , over 23", puppies & terriers.
