  1. Have you concidered reloading your bullets? Or perhaps an upgrade to .223?
  2. I shot a fox cub with one, and it fully gutted it, but it was not an instant kill. The bullet missed the heart, and didn't expand enough to do the job "cleanly" . I also found that the grouping was not as good as other rounds.
  3. I have used soft points in .222. Never again Give me BT or HP any time .
  4. The squirrel call should work. I have heard some very good reports. Crow call are quite good, but I'm not sure you will get them to land as the are very cautios. Also you need to study the calls to replicate the one you want. Never used a pigeon call, sorry.
  5. My mate has a Logun Axor for sale for around £300ish. I'm not sure if that is with or without the bottle but I can find out for you. It's a lovely gun. PM me if you're interested. This rifle has an 8 shot mag.
  6. Personally I would go for the springer becase it will do the same job, but not only is it cheaper to start with, you don't need to buy filling equipment aswell.
  7. Good job you're using and air rifle.......3 or 4 shots with a .243 would make sure all the quarry was long gone.....
  8. Did your gun get bumped in transit? This happened to me once.
  9. Because he obviously knows what he's doing!
  10. So you know not to look down that end mate!!!!
  11. N160 may be too slow burning for such a light round. As the other guys have said, check whatever loading manuals you can find, and for gods sake be careful. If you're not sure.......DON'T BOTHER.
  12. Nikko Sterling Nite Eater with illuminated reticle. Great scope at under £200.
  13. I don't understand what you mean, don't the army, police and just about everyone else use nv on their rifles ?? a better quality but a dedicated scope. Also there are many people who use gen 1 scopes on live round rifles by adding an extra illuminator. I think he was joking mate, although to get a decent set up you do have to spend plenty .
  14. I know someone whon has a logun axor with 8 shot mag for sale, £300ish. I will have to check if this includes charging eqipment (bottle). PM me for details if you're interested. It is a nice gun in good condition.
  15. I've noticed that with some models, and frankly, never been able to understand why, but then again I've not bothered to investigate further! I think that it is because to achieve 12ft/lb the lighter pellet needs to travel faster, and to travel faster, uses more air. I could be wrong though .
  16. They were approved under the new Act which came in last year until the Final Reading, then some dipstick decided to ask the RSPCA who responded by saying "they had no evidence to suggest it was humane", why the f**k didn't they look at Scotland...so Roe got removed at the last minute! What happened to "Inocent until proven guilty"? What they should've said was "We have no evidence to suggest that it is not humane.". Then it wouldn't have been an issue. Who invited that bunch along to the meeting anyway?
  17. BASC tried to get .22CF approved for roe last year, but were unsuccessful
  18. CCI do a 35ft/lb 29grn bullet for .22 rimfire. This eliminates the need for FAC air rifles, and you can get a lot of bullets for the price of a Rapid.
  19. If you are happy with the light transmission of the 40mm, go for that. This is because the closer your line of sight is to the line of travel of the bullet, the less variation you will get in POI at different ranges. (This is why the new leupold has a cut away in the bottom.)
