  1. I know nothing about this so please bear with me. So the net is fixed to the slider (conduit) and this is positioned at the top of the pole? How do you hold it in place so that it can all be released from one end?
  2. Obviously works well . Have you got any pics of the trip mechanism?
  3. I've just priced up a fox trap and at nearly £130 + vat it's a bit on the expensive side. I have a dog cage (or crate as they are sometimes called) that I picked up from the pet shop for about £35 and thought I could modify one of these to do the same job. I could do with a coulpe of pics and/or a good description of the trigger and gate mechanism of a factory one so I can do this. Any help would be very gratefully recieved. There was a post on here nearly a year ago, but alas the attachments have dissappeared!
  4. Ahh Jaclinto, I see you're doing a bit of subtle advertising on here now too. Why can't you just be honest and say "This is what I sell, If you're interested have a look here"??????????????????? Why all the cloak and dagger stuff?
  5. .....apart from the fact it's illegal. For the protection of trees only...never seen a tree in a loft yet! Warfarin treatment of grey squirrels in roof spaces indoors can be carried out at ANY time of year and in ALL areas of the country using a 0.02% warfarin bait. Grey Squirrel (Warfarin) Order 1973 I thik you will find this legislation was overwritten by the public health act 2005, as the 2% warfarin mix was only permitted for indoor use for public health pest control and was withdrawn under terms of the 2005 act...basically in this guys situation it wouldnt
  6. There are some idiots around with more money than sense!
  7. With squirrels Digestive biscuits are to die for! :11: Caught 5 in one loft using these in Fenn MK6's
  8. I used one at Pickering guns on my .222 when I changed the scope. Brought it within 7" at 100yds. If I hadn't used it, it would've been miles out.
  9. I find crows won't sit around even with silenced .22lr. you can shoot one but the others fly away. I suppose if you're at 200yds you've more chance? HMR is a bit noisey though.
  10. Assuming you want a new one, for value for money it has to be CZ @ £250. If you want the best you can buy for twice the price go for a HW60 J. As for shooting fox with it, it is against Home Office Guidelines (not against the law). You must be very accurate with your shot placement, and I wouldn't recomend it. To quote DEFRA on the subject "It is the calibre of the man that is important, not the calibre of the gun." Humane kills are a must, and you would be better off using a centrefire. Ammo for bunnies: Winchester or Eley subsonics. When used with a decent sound mod (e.g. Parker Hale £30
  11. CS firearms are producing a new custom silencer. Ther is a piece about it on H un t e r W o r l d in the rimfires section. I tried to put a link on but it wont let me . It's well worth a look.
  12. Not wishing to sound completely stupid, but if anything over legal minimum is "surplus to requirements" why do they make them so long in the first place? It is currently standard length (20" I think). I'm concidering taking around 4-5" off. The crown is recut already as it was a factory cock-up when I got it, and went back to the gun smith to get sorted.
  13. I have a Nikko Sterling Platinum Nite eater 6-24x56 and it's very good. I got it second hand for £100 in VGC, new I think they are £180. Best of luck with your choice.
  14. I have been told that cutting down the barrel on a .22lr will not alter the accuracy. I need to confirm that this is 100% correct before I get it done. My CZ .22 is very accurate at the moment and obviously if I had some cut off the barrel to make the handling easier for inside a vehicle, I can't stick it back on if it screws it up. I wondered if there may be issues with rifling twist etc? Any comments welcome. James
  15. Oh my god. I nearly shot my computer screen!!!!!
