    Hes 22 to the shoulder, his Mam & Dad are 24 ! No bull in him at all, his litter sister which ive also got is just 16 tts at the moment.

    Newbie on here & im just wondering how best to feed the rabbits i shoot with my air rifle to my 5 month old lurcher pups ? After ive froze them for 2 weeks, is it best to mince the carcass or just chop them up into chunks for the pups. They have no problem with chicken wings, feet & carcasses but the rabbit bones seem a lot smaller & sharper. Any thoughts. Thanks all.

    The same here, i only get to shoot the rabbits with my Air rifle but i realy enjoy reading about you lads, who work your ferrets & dogs on the rabbit. Nice write up tsteve9999.

    They looked fine with an eye inspection but when i weighed them there was a fairly noticible difference from 13.39 grs - 13.46 grns maybe it was the lighter ones that were flying and giving the spread but on weighing the jsb they are almost all on 14.35grns & really do group very well indeed.

    I have always used falcon accuracy plus in my .22 xl lightning with very good results & these pellets always filled me with confidence but all of a sudden the accuracy of my combo totally went but i never thought it could be the pellets i was using, so this is how i found out. The groups opened up from about a 20-25mm spread at 32mtrs in a 10 shot group to about a 3inch group. So i cleaned the barrel re leaded but no luck, checked the bkl 463 mounts and as expected no movement on that front so i changed the scope 3 times and still no joy i would get maybe 5-6 pellets in a nice cluster but

    Over the last two days i have been pre baiting up an area where i know its safe to shoot the rats, ie exact distance and safe back stop. Been using nutela + peanut butter. I dont have NV so was looking to lure them in when i can see them. Then this afternoon a lady stoped & asked what i was doing, i explained about my tactics to shoot the rats on the stables, she only explained that she only uses these stables for her over flow from the 3 livery yards she owns & she would like me to cover her 3 yards for rats & the rabbits causing a problem & could i do anything about the magpi

    To be fare, i was a bag of nerves going knocking on doors but bit the bullet & was surprised that if you present yourself with a positive attitude & a responsible aproach to our sport, then the land owner is prepaired to listen to you.

    Will do pal. Walked round the bounderies today with the farmer & he advised me the same as you have just. He said theres no rush its there for me when im ready but could i get on with the rats in the barns & stables asap. Hes shown me were there at there worst & i will be tackling them from monday onwards. Thats somthing that ive been doing in the last 18 months for the lads on the pens with there pigeon lofts, keeping the rats in order. Cheers

    Hello lads, ive been delving in & out of this forum for the last 18months but felt i had nothing to contribute has i had no permission of my own but as of today thats been put right as i have just gained two. Ive been trying for 18 months by sending letters out, plus cards & putting leaflets etc at horse & agriculture feed places, plenty of replies but no luck. I know you all advise to knock on doors but i just didnt think that was somthing i could do as i was worried i would just start to waffle on & make a mess of it and that seems strange as im a taxi driver and talk to 60+
