  1. Thank you TL for that photo, great to see an old pic like that, sounds like he was a nice dog and looked good.
  2. In the passed few years ago to make the cz wolf dog. I am not interested in getting a pup of that breeding, just had never seen them before, so wondered if their was any about, thats it really.
  3. I suppose it does not have much of a place, but they have apparently been used more sucsessfully when crossed back to the working german shepherd of russian and cz lines. However, looking at the prices, their not cheap to import, as their seems to be none here. Talking to my russian freind, he tells me they try and keep them away from over breeding and the show world. It would be interesting to hear from someone who has knowlage and experince of the breed, dont think i will get it on here though. lol Edit to say, for those who think its a wolf hybrid, well its not, as i know myself, their a
  4. Anyone on here by any chance came across this breed of dog below? I did a bit of reseach, seems a interesting breed, but rare. Few links below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czechoslovakian_Wolfdog http://www.tobrok.sk/skor-ako-kupite-engl.htm http://wolfdog.wbs.cz/Planned-litters.html
  5. Definitely plenty of potential for you to cock up if you don't know what you're doing. Is your dog food orientated? If so, look up Michael Ellis on YouTube or http://michaelellisschool.com/videos.htm. Very talented dog trainer who I'm sure you'll be able to pick up plenty of tips from. I got a lot of good tips off him in the passed and it seems to work well.
  6. I did a bit of research on the matter and i think i might give it a miss, as their seems to be more nagatives to it then positives. Thank you both for your input.
  7. Could be poisoned. They dont act as fast when they are poisond. Some get amune to it and act slow for a while. Must be hungry to eat its mate. lol
  8. Never used one, apparently they work well with dogs that pull too much if used correctly? Anyone have any experinces on using them? Good or nagative?
  9. Thanks for all your help Mike.
  10. They or did have this problem in Italy with packs of feral dogs that had interbred with wolves, not sure if it is the same in spain? That is shocking, poor farmer, not anice thing to witness!
  11. Both mine are good with the family they are primarily work dogs ( I am self employed working these two week in week out) But they can come in the house and are fine with my other dogs and family members like I said its a lot to do with how you train them and what you want them to do the military dogs are far less sociable as that's what they require but I require a dog that I can work private sites or big events and a completely unsociable dog would be a nightmare on a big event. Thank you for your input Mike. You seem to know the breed well. What would be in your opinion, the best

  13. .222 sounds a good bet. I have shot the .22 hornet as well and found it great for foxes out to 200yds and a bit, might consider a .222 in the future.
  14. Gredit to you, both of them look great, thanks.
  15. Superb looking malinois that, thank you for the photos.
  16. Jigsaw, sounds like you have gsd with a high drive, think you mentioned it before that he was bred from europeon working lines? Good to hear that the BM can be trained to switch off, as a lot seem to be wired, sounds like its the man behind the lead that can get the best out of them. Some interesting replys.
  17. Forgot to say, I have also shot the .22 hornet and found it a great round for foxes out to 200 yds and slightly more using factory ammo out of a CZ rifle.
  18. I would love to have one myself, but the none switch off mode they have, puts me off a bit, unless i could give it the work it needs, which i can not. They really need to be busy all the time! Apparently the full bred working CZ german shephers can be the same.
  19. Had both the .223 and .204 in the passed and must say, i found the .223 far better and a lot less expensive. Never owned a .222, is it more acurate than the .223? or about the same with factory ammo?
  20. Apparenlty these dogs dont know how to switch off lol Tell you what, they pack some punch and do very well in the arm forces and police work ect! One of the clips below, is traning pups, crap music, but what they put them threw is unreal, yet they seem to thrive and do well, they need that type of work, constant, to keep them happy!

  22. Why, is it a lot worse in reality? More harsh ect? I suppose with the cameras being their and the whole of britian watching, they have to watch what they do and say, although it would not be easy i would think?
  23. Their was a documentry on recently about them and the training the young recruits go threw, i was out of breat just watching it lol. The toughest training in the world apparently. ! It was 8 episodes i think, as seen below.
