  1. Sounds like he was your best pal, sorry to her he was put down, but from what you say he had a good 10 years working with you.
  2. Two of them were shot on my local farm Sunday, they chased and bit a flock of sheep causing 5 to be put down and a further 45 to be treated by 2 vets who had to be called out.. Don't know about their stamina ,when the farmer got there they were laying down absolutely exhausted after their exploits. Thank you Carraghs. Inan, that is bad, its not the dogs fault, its irresponsible dog owners , shame and poor sheep.
  3. Beauty, did you get your pup in the uk?
  4. Thank you Carraghs. he looks a big lad, if you have any better photos of him, stick them up if you want. It seems these ones and the czhec dogs seem the way to go. I was talking to my friend that bred my pup and he said, pure cz GS have a high bite/prey drive, which has to be carefully controlled, good thing to bare in mind i suppose.
  5. Carraghs, would you have a photo of your dutch shepherd? be nice to see. Thank you.
  6. I bought my dog locally from a trainer that was at the shutzhund championships in europe with his dog last year I believe,he holds classes and if you google ''DUHALLOW GERMAN SHEPHERD CLUB'' you will see him there. Thanks again jigsaw.
  7. Interesting that cg, as i was just looking at some clips of the dutch shepherd, clip i watched is below. Thank you for your comment by the way.
  8. Sounds good all this info. Bird, you seem to know your stuff as regards cz dogs. Some cz lines in my pup, but not a lot. If i ever get another one, i would most certainly go for a full cz bred GS. I got gifted this pup from a friend and it was a nice surprise. She is doing so well, learning everything very quick. Jigsaw, if i may ask, did you buy your german shepherd from ireland or the uk? is their any breeders of cz GS over here, do they have to be imported?
  9. phil he is off of a czech sire, and im told an imported bitch,he is grand if you only keep him alone but hes a nasty cnut with the other dogs, always trying to be dominant and snarling if he ever gets amongst them.....which he doesnt..he killed an 8 wk old bitch pup on me 12 months ago ,i went to answer the door and in a minute he did the deed.when a bitch comes in heat then hes wound up to the last, hes a smart fukka too,at 12 months old he learnt how to lift the latch with his nose and release all the inmates.one minute I was sitting watching tv,the next i look to see all the dogs running about
  10. Thank you for that photo jigsaw. He looks a fine beast, like him a lot. He looks to come from working lines, is he eastern European?
  11. Here is my GS pup below. She has been with me for a week , 11 weeks old now and doing very well. She sits on command, stays and heals well, am very happy with her.
  12. is it any wonder their is ebola over their, not too hard to see where it may of came from. lol
  13. Its very good for lurcher pups i hear and greyhounds. But, can you give it to other dog breeds when their pups, for example, a german shepherd pup?
  14. Thank you bird. Fine looking shepherd that. Thanks to everyone else that has replied with their experiences on the breed.
  15. Thank you for reply's. Bird, your dog seems a very strong lurcher. I have heard of these cz working lines, meant to be top notch breeding. Any photos of the german shepherd mother to your lurcher?
  16. That is a lovely account of your experience with the breed hutch. Sounds like they both got good homes in the end, sorry to hear you had to part with the second one,as she sounded like she had bonded with you very well, sad to hear that. She looks a smashing dog in the photo. Did you ever get one as a pup and kept it for your self?
  17. Great dogs i think. They are so easy to train and do a vast arrange of jobs when trained well, not to mention protecting your property ect. Getting a pup soon, looking forward to it, had one in the passed and proved to be a fantastic dog on all different manner of things. Who else on here owns them? Ill get a photo of my pup up as soon as i get her. I think if bred right and brought up right, they are hard to beat. The one i had years ago, would hunt up deer all day, she had some stamina!
  18. What is the beam like on these lamps, does it reach far?
