  1. Just out of interest have any of you put the grey over the bull bitch or is the preferred dam the grey? is there much difference in the pups depending which dog is used to produce the litter. Has anyone bred a litter of american bulldog x greyhound if so what were they like ?
  2. Hey Tozer have you really got that dog with the little legs on the link to ur post ?
  3. I made two windows using perspex plastic on two sides of mine, solid back and mesh front. I put the windows in the run with the side that is facing the dog run so dogs get used to constantly seeing and watching the ferrets and on the other side cause if I look out my window i get glimpses of them in the run. When i was building my run i found some perspex i had bought for a project a couple of years ago, how glad was I that i never threw it out, knew it'd come in handy one day!!!
  4. Don't do it mate you clearly don't want to get rid of him and will regret it for years to come if you do, no other dog will be the same.
  5. No offence at all mate, if you get pulled just tell them exactly what you doing, if dark your the same as most dog walkers out at night who take torches etc out with them. If your in possession of a dummy it could never be proven that you were hunting in pursuit of game unless you were caught in the act and not carrying out some dog training it would go nowhere mate, i'd crack on with it.
  6. Hi Tozer from my own experience i'm very happy with the rescue dog i got but may have been lucky. She is a deerhound cross and was a cracking looking bitch when she was younger. All I knew of her was that a group of travellers had settled somewhere near Wigan for around a week and when they moved on she had been left behind. She was about 2 -3 years old when i got her and she's laid at my feet now 12 years later, she looks old and tired now but still has the minimum of an hours walk a day. She was nervous at first and it took a bit of bonding before she became a nice confident dog. She had cle
  7. No longer required got myself a nice hob today.
  8. Hi anyone got a good working hob to service my jill in Lancashire, i'm quite close to Blackburn/Accrington so the nearer the better. i'd prefer an albino but let me know what you got, willing to pay a reasonable fee, pack of beer or one of the kits whichever one you want. please message me nice 1 Den

I also bought a big box of bruised chicken wings for £10, well worth the money there was roughly around 140 in the box good big wings, ideal for the ferret as well. Let me know if you still looking for supplier and i'll send you the details there only 5 mins from junction 20 of the M60. Nice 1 Den

  11. Theres a place in middleton knocking out 10kg boxes of chicken carcasses and necks, never bought any myself yet but planning a trip over this week to check it out i'll let you know whether its worth a trip there or not,
  12. Hey Topper do you mix anything with the hearts when you feed it the dogs, only asking cause last time i gave my dogs some heart they were quite loose the next day, when fed bones , tripe, mince etc their shites are pretty solid.
  13. I used to use them on most of my nets but used good quality ones. At the end of the day they're designed to hold tents down in all weathers so a purse net is no problem.
  14. Hi Tomas have a look on the preloved.co.uk website i saw a nice looking litter of whippet/grey x collie on there other day
  15. I've not much experience of Hancock dogs and only really know two people who had them, one was a pet home and the dog suited the families outdoor, camping etc lifestyle and was perfect for what they wanted. The other was a beardie cross that an old boy i knew a few years ago got from a rescue. He used it for a bit of daytime rabbiting and nightime lamping the dog was ok for what he wanted, both were good looking dogs. I've read theres alot of mixed opinions on here so i'll sit on the fence with this one having not owned one myself. I spoke to someone last week who claimed that Hancock dogs ar
  16. How much are the Hancock lurchers nowadays ? just had a quick look on his website and seen he got about 3 litters for sale. I really fancy a collie cross myself for my next dog but would try and source one from working stock first.
  17. Hi Forest if the dogs were on a lead and you didn't encourage the dogs to attack the cat you've no real issues. If she does report you and the dogs were of the off the lead there could be an argument that the dogs were out of control but it would be very hard to prove and would go nowhere. As bad as it sounds it'll prob go in your favour that the cat owner witnessed it cause she herself saw that it was accidental, you didn't encourage it, you were remorseful etc etc so her only argument could be that your dog killed her cat, its normal animal behaviour, I'd continue to make peace with her mate
