a dog thats obedient,knows its game and be keen to do it. every lurcher needs those 3 things.other needs are individual to what work the dog does.

the round silver one in irish lurchers pic....what sound can you get from that?i bought one and try as i might its nothing like the sound my others make! its more of a husky sound than a squeal!

its a lot different. a wounded fox isnt brought to the dogs. the dogs catch a fox,that has a fair chance of getting away unharmed. i beleive this has more in common with badger baiting and look what happened to that....

ferrets sleep ahell of a lot anyway mate! mine are always asleep and take some right waking up sometimes! just be patient.she'll give birth after 6 wks(give or take a day or two)

just made one of those hazel fox calls! first attempt sounded like a seagull getting strangled! but second attempt sounds spot on!

i hate sh*t in my pockets!(at any time!) so i just carry a knife,phone,baccy tin and lighter!thats the lot. less to knock about and make noise!

my pups just turned 9 month. up untill a month ago,he showed absolutely no interest in chasing anything! game,balls,sticks!nothing. but a month ago he changed,he's like a different dog,he wants to be into anything.his prey drive has just appeared from nowhere and he's keen as hell! and he was also a bit timid before,now he has no fear of anything!lol. so,just be patient mate.the dog will let you know when he's ready!and if he's anything like my dog,he'll make it obvious!

very interesting subject.one that id be interested to learn more about.i suppose its possible as you say,multiple eggs and repeat matings....seems it would be possible!

got mine new from ebay but even that was 45!

checkrd on my jill this morning and lots of squeaking coming from the nest box so looks like they're here,bang on time! lol. didnt disturb her but will put some pics up when i see them.(yes kay,you first!lol) well,they're a wk old today and all 11 and the mother seem to be doing just fine!putting plenty of weight on and none seem to be getting left out.

ive got the same. yes it does work(if its a 16' locator not a 40') with ferret collars. the 40' requires a different collar(the bigger oval reciever)
