  1. Made a start today: Bulkhead removed, windows cut in both sides and some decals added.
  2. Asked my wife if I was the only one she had ever been with, she said yes All the others were 8s and 9s
  3. What did spartacus say when the lion ate his wife Nothing, he was gladiator
  4. Wife's birthday last week, took her to the biggest orchard in Yorkshire for the whole day, thought it would tick every box and definitely get laid. Apparantley not the apple watch she was after.
  5. I have two unwritten rules that I live my whole life by: 1. 2.
  6. Tonight was first pork joints. Got some pics before but not after. Did 2, a slow cooked shoulder with skin and fat removed pre-cook for crackling. A roasted shoulder joint with crackling on. They were both amazing. Not just saying it but so much depth in flavour, texture was better, crackling off of both was amazing and I collected the fat for future use, aiming for as little waste as possible .
  7. 7 hatched, moved 5 to brooder, left 2 in incubator to dry out more as only hatched this afternoon. 2 eggs don't think will hatch now. 7 out of 10 from our first batch of home grown is a better hatch rate than we had from other people eggs so well happy.
  8. Also attended first day on the bee keeping course. Very interesting, really enjoyed it and looking forward to the other sessions. Seems its not a simple stick em in a box and get some honey though!
  9. First chicks of 2024 are hatching boys
  10. Regional tendencies from round here... Dont see many garden heaters, other than a burning barrel. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, the gate is always open, except for on the back alley they are locked by the council. Southerners are shandy drinking shirt lifters. Red sky at night, Leeds fans are c**ts. Every 'dog lad' thinks a bullX with flat feet from the kennel is a world beater when it smashes next door but ones cat off the wheelie bin top. The paki shops have been taken over by Sri Lankans? The rabbits that dint have Myxy have the other rabbit aids.
  11. Homemade and home grown sausage rolls today.....
  12. We have an Indian priminister The mayor of our capital city is a Pakistani Muslim The Royal family has apparently protected nonces? This is the country my old boy served 27yrs for? No thanks mate, call all you want, I won't be coming. I will be ensuring I have sufficient arms to protect my own. Call the f***ing Muslims instead.
  13. Stripped down the rest of the offal today. Kept the hearts and tongues, guna have a read up on using them but he always keeps em on meateater so didn't wanna ditch em, wanna use all I can. Made first batch of pork liver pate aswell, got enough to do another batch if this turns out to be nice.
  14. Well today was collection day and I am very happy with the quantity and hopefully quality of produce! I kept ablut 1.25. Had already swapped half a pig for a full lamb before Xmas and gave a decent meat box to neighbour that helped me move em to abbottoir. I don't think I will be going to Asda for sausages, bacon or pork joint any time soon!
  15. Honestly though I'm like that. If I don't like someone or a group of people just leave. I don't make excuses I don't try and sneak away, I just get my coat or whatever and go. If I'm asked I say why. Without causing a scene. Domt have to get on with everyone in this world and don't have to spend time with anyone you don't get on with. Something I have come to realise even more since having little ones is that time is precious. I would rather be sat in a field on my own or walking river bank than sat in local with people I'm not fussed about just because they are regulars. I have
  16. When I read the title my first thought was yes. But I can sometimes be quick to make my mind up so I thought cmon Ry, read through the man's issue and see what is going on.... f***ing prosseco? Should have followed my gut as usual. You know what they say about arseholes, every shoot is full of em
  17. Yeah Bubwith mate, they have been great to be honest, really helpful. I would have put trailer in but it ain't mine and I had to destroy pen to get it in. Its all a learning curve and after this experience I have a better plan for the permenant pig pen. Learning as I go mate
  18. Well, the pigs have gone boys. That was emotional, I don't mean tears, I mean f***ing hard work! Heavy/strong animal them when they dint wanna do summat! Buggered off into their bed and wouldn't move so basically ended up dragging the Arc with the two pigs in up the trailer ramp, finally got them in and then flipped Arc back over and shut gates quickly. Must have been a good 40mins to get em in little buggers! Anyway they have been dropped off now at a nice little abbottoir/butcher. Pick the meat up Friday. Next job is turn the pig pen into a veg plot.
  19. I had a full coil, but had some left. Can't remember dims, will get some measures when I'm in there. I set scaff poles in postcrete, the poly gives natural curve, then I have supported it down middle with Unistrut because seen a few vids etc where that design has collapsed with snow. Just wanted to be sure.
  20. The auto door worked perfectly on its first evening. All chickens in bed and door closed about 10-15mins after.
  21. Nest boxes built and in, glues and screwed for longevity. See what the girls think of em. Also fitted the chicken guard door opener.
