    Took end of the moderator to try clean internals a bit better and as the last owner of the set up I got had never cleaned it thought I would have a go . There was a black pad wrapped round a vented tube the pad was brittle from half way up and crumbling to bits. Take it this should not be like this and is it time to get another mod ?

    I always use 177 for hunting headshot every time stops them dead let me guess your pellets landed exactly where you aimed

    It's a 17 hmr but did not stop a 120yard rabbit shot did the job just fine

    New to this hmr got mine shooting 5p size groups at 100 yard and have cleaned it last night should I test the zero again before an outing on the bunnys ?

    I have always used 177 for hunting head shot every time on bunnys makes sure they are out . The don't get away when they got a hole through the head .

    Exellent, i went out on my new permission and spotted a white bunny. Next time i went up it was out, so i storked it for ages to finally get a 46yd shot That's the first white one I seen . Bet they are a bugger to spot in the snow

    Got my new gun to do a 5p size group yesterday at 100 yards did not realise this till bloke at work said he can do it so had a look when I got home

    The gun scope and mod cost me £250 so not too bad for the cash

    Got 4 shots touching the dead Center shot then the one abit lower thing I pulled the trigger too hard the grid on the target are 1/2 inch squares

    That's 46 yard (close zero point ) So happy with that dead Center shot went back to 100 yards And did this Which lead to 4 rabbits left one bad mixy

    Yes I'll try on a day with no wind it was on and off very strong gusts then calm then back to strong at least it's not far out just a couple of clicks and should be sorted

    That sounds like a good plan get set up wind in your favour and sit it out they can't stay down there for ever oh just check that den is been used or you will be there for a long time
