  1. Yeah I have checked before and think 95% it's 1:12 , will check when I clean it next Thanks
  2. They are just quick detach mounts. They do the job fine
  3. Think mine is 1:12 twist You prefer sp to ballistic tips?
  4. What is your favorite load in 223, especially any of you which have the cz527 Thanks
  5. No, haven't had time to do anything about it yet Will keep you posted when I do sort it Thanks
  6. Right, will get hold of some 40grain factory stuff and see what happens. Thought it'd be the older model for the money I paid, it's fine by me as long as I get it sorted. Thanks
  7. It hasn't got the number "3" below the word "Monarch" and the word "Monarch" is as I type it here, not in capitals as the pictures you show me. It came from 'Optics Warehouse' but at a knockdown price, so I don't know if it's genuine or fake.
  8. Here are the pics I promised. I'm gutted, pi55ed off and fed up. I have thrown £300 at it and it's still no better. I know some of you will laugh in the face of £300 but I have said from the start that I am not prepared to spend loads of money on it. It may well be that I am not suited to this rifle shooting malarky. seriously considering selling the .223 and everything I have to go with it. Thanks
  9. No, only two side adjustments, top and right for crosshairs. Was told it's a Monarch 3, although scope says just Monarch on the sides. Am not impressed, will put pics up when I get home. Still no impressive group, the Remington factory load is spraying all over the place. Fine, it may not like them. Used the fmj homeloads, as these are the only two variants I have to try, grouped better with old scope. As I said, will post pics when I can.
  10. It's arrived!! Lovely looking piece of kit. I've installed it, looks the business. But when I look through the glass at the bank that surrounds the house (considering its now on the table in the utility - looking through the window at the grassy bank). When I move my head up/down/left/right the point of impact changes by a few inches. The grass bank is only about 5/6meters away looking through a window. If it's all down to me, then no matter if I have a £3k scope the groups will always be all over the place. Haven't had a chance to get to the field yet. I have just put it
  11. We'll see when it gets here. 6-24x50 which is what I did have would cost £475 For the sake of £275 I'll put up with a lot less My hmr scope is 3-9x50, granted you can't zoom so well to see a tiny hole in a target, but I've shot plenty of rabbits at 100yds with it. I'll just take my old scope along to peer at those tiny bullet holes in the targets!! Thanks
  12. Opticswarehouse are offering the Nikon Monarch 3 with 2.5-10x50 1" tube for £199 + postage
  13. 40 grain v-max or load my own 55gr Hornady soft points
  14. Look at this eBay item, reduced by £20 161384240748
  15. I'm going to call my RFD and ask him what he can get me, he may be able to get a Nikon same as OpticsWarehouse for same money. I like to support local if they can get me a deal at internet prices. Anyhow, I've no cash at the minute -so will have to wait. Thanks
  16. Will save for a 3-9x50 Prostaff. As long as you folks reckon it's 100% my scope at fault, I'm glad it grouped fantastically at 25yds, just need a similar group at 100yds and I'll be very happy. Don't like the sound of those on eBay, makes me wonder why they are selling - call me a pessimist but been bitten on eBay once too many. Thanks
  17. 3-9 x50 Prostaff £185 brand new at Optics Warehouse. Out of stock though
  18. 171400456040 - another one here. Item number
  19. Have asked seller a few questions. Would rather a x50 with more mag, current one is 6-24x50 and was showing quite good image...but...it's fecked. Beggars can't be choosers though. Thanks
  20. Yes, with the same homeloads. Did try with Factory remington v-max but forgot to take a photo - they were even worse though. Nearly 60 rounds gone now, I'd be crying if I'd paid £1.30 per pop Thanks
