  1. Had a 21lb pike from a gravel pit in Theale Berkshire on Sunday. That's my gravel pit PB
  2. No Money In Pest Control!!!!!!! You want to see what some people charge and get more work than they no what to do with! I sub-contract work from 10+ other local companies (only fox work) and charge my normal rate to them. One of them charges 100% on top of my quote. Which would end up at around £750 to control urban foxes! I no one company charges £1,500 PER NIGHT to shoot foxes, even if they don't get anything! And they get a fair bit of work. There are hundreds of companies out there that do a bit of everything including pest control and make no money as they don't value their time.
  3. Had two Cod from Hayling Island sea front last week after the storms, But been quiet since!
  4. Was out for 5 hours this morning on the Kennet in Berkshire. Just one Jack about 4lb, Packed the pike gear up and I'm just heading to the Loddon to try for a Chub or two!
  5. I myself only ferret gas or shoot but when it comes to Rabbit trapping I'd listen to anything Nod has to say!!! I have seen the results he gets
  6. one of my labs come out moling on farms with me for company, to stop her being in my face while setting traps I sat her down while I set on each mole. After a couple of times she runs the field finds fresh molehills and sits down waiting for me to go over! Come in very handy in long grass where spotting hills is tricky
  7. Pike have been slow going down south this year! Been out on the pits a few times this season and only had a few small jacks. Fished Grafham in October and November for 3 days each time and only had 1 Pike around 16lb (didn't weight it) and a few Zander Not sure whats going on!
  8. Check out the BTMR and get a few quotes! try and get a fixed fee not a per visit price if I was you!
  9. I've used both and would say the no mole are best as they don't get tangled up! The Traplines are a good trap but tangle like hell when transported. And on a cold winters day on a farm mole catching the last thing you want is trying to untangle them!
  10. Just Check on the BTMR website for your local mole catcher
  11. I have been using a .17 HMR fox close range fox work for the last 3 years. We only use the hmr to about 70yards at tops for foxes. Never had one move an inch with a clean shot to the base of the ear or neck. People shooting at foxes 200 yards away with a hmr on the other hand is looking for trouble
  12. Hi All Just joined the forum! Into all forms of country living and the way of life! I shoot most vermin and game, fish, ferret and trap Dean
