  1. This fella has been spotted around our pond, tales of the biggest snake ever and all that prevail... I sit up the garden for hours in the vain hope of spotting him with my camera, so today I was up there drinking a cuppa coffee and all of a sudden I see the bugger making good his escape across the grass, got my Steve Irwin boots on, whoop whoop I had him by the tail, took me a couple of seconds to work out whether it was a grass snake or an adder... makes your heart pump.. Anyway here's some pics... ps. released unharmed.......

  3. from personal experience I always jab my pups at a young age 10-12 weeks... Most recently lost a litter of GSD's at 10 weeks, 4 bedlington pups at 6 weekish due to a non vaccinated lurcher coming into my kennels, lost the lurcher who was 2 1/2 year old at the time.. Lost two lurchers, 1 terrier and a shed full of ferrets years back... So yes, I will always jab them, My vets advice 'WORKING DOGS DO NOT NEED BOOSTERS' they come into contact with all sorts of diseases which makes their immune system a lot stronger than the average house dog/pet etc... for those of you who don't jab th

  5. Thanks for the comments... The dog was pushing 13/14 not quite sure... he was kept up my fathers house, retired him early due to a rta, It's an odd feeling, he lived outside the back door in his own little kennel, free to do what he wanted.. all the scraps from the house went out in his bowl, I filled it up this morning then realised he was not there... me dad and me mam are gutted... First time I've ever known there not to be a dog around the place, I have that pup up in kennels but I want him for work, not for around the house, my mam doesn't want another dog for a bit.... wa

  20. some white dogs were used in the lakes as out crosses, and some came from the devon area,as there were a lot of badger digging clubs about there at that time. and its fact that some white dogs were sent up north for the use of badger digging. most white dogs origins can be traced back to wales via the sealiam type, and so can the lakelands from the old black and tan welsh terrier. i would hate to upset terrier men of the north, but the lakelands up there were nothing more than imigrant welsh dogs.sent up there . mind you some were sent to wales also. at the time when badger digging clubs we
  21. I tried to use him over Milly last time she was in season, but to no avail... I think (know) he's past it... Tag is out of him, and there's one brother to Tag over in N Ireland, haven't heard and lost contact with the owner so don't know how he's doing.. you're right about the pugs though, making silly money, even cross with russells and what ever...
