    I see what you mean, my pup chased a rabbit the other week in a dense wood I got whacked if the face more than afew times lol. If you were aloud to run deer don't think I'd risk mine in the woods, interesting to know how people do it though does it mean you'd do most of there training and exercise in the woods if that was what you would use them for?

    Thanks for replying, I was told it was too risky for the dog but Was thinking that in places with deep woods dogs might hunt that way? I see a lot more deer in woods than fields aswell (keep the pup on a lead mind)

    Did anybody run deer through woods before the ban? Iv not had running dogs long just wondered if it was to dangerous for the dogs?

    Thanks for the good advice, lol hot meat the ferts don't like me touching them even more than me wife! I could defiantly have more time with them if the they didn't smell so bad n the wife was scared of them, I dernt let them loose in the garden to many escape routes might make abit of a court :-)

    How much time do I need to be spending handling me Hobbs, there my first ferrets 1 keeps getting the hump hissing n thrashing about when I pick him up, iv been spending bout 30mins a day letting them run about and picking them up in the kitchen should I be spending more?

    Hi just got me first ferrets this years Hobbs I'm after a ferret finder is any one selling some or know where I can get them at a decent price cheapest iv seen are new on fleabay £170 with 1 collar, thanks for any help :-)

    Hi I'm new to shotguns only been claying afew times, any way thinking about buying a Spanish master 12g side by side ejector off a mate he wants £100 there's abit of pitting on the barrels but in fair condition apart from that is it worth the price? Some one else offered me a 12g over under mirku ejector for £300 also in decent condition any thoughts on what to go for? Thanks for any comments :-)

    I thought it'd be a chew with a slip lead getting the dog off warl keeping the lamp on, lol the pups to quick for me to grab his scruff when he's having a lunge at sumat or sum one, hell learn though

    rope lead, just take it off when you want to slip it, its just as quick once you get use to doing it. why do you need to grab a collar the dog naturally has a scruff if you feel the need to take hold,

    How do you's go lamping without a collar when it comes to slipping the dog on quary/game? My labs don't wear collars incase they they get snagged in a bush or if there in the water on a branch, me lurch pup has 1 on comes in handy fro grabbing him

    I'm new to lurchers been out with a lad who slips from a collar with a flat lead, how do u lads slip ur dogs without a collar is the dog trained to wait on a command or do u hold them? My lurcher pups wearing a collar ATM so he's used to it but duno wether to take it off him when he's old enough to work?
