Red blocks more light from the white led than ANY other colour, save perhaps blue. I tried with polypockets, acetate, even sharpie pen on glass, nothign works with the P7 as the red kills the beam. You can buy the filter kit, but don't if you only want the red. As said, green/amber are OK.
-
no you can't. I looked! and called them too! you need to buy the filter kit for around £10. Though as mentioned, the red is crap. The green or amber are the best ones. (Green for clarity and amber for distance) though I'd suggest using it on the dimmer option of brigness as it does belt out some light.

I have one, £50 for the lamp, £10 for filters. * Lamp is GREAT, solid well built and with 4 x aaa rechargebles easy to use. * Filters are mixed. Amber goes a long way, green also very good (my choice when hunting, I can spot rabbits 120+ yrds with the lamp and scope), RED FILTER IS SHITE, 20-30 yrd max, terrible. Blue filter is about the same. * Pressure switch is a bit hit & miss. I'd rather have a switch that I can flick on and off, versus only being on when I squeeze the thing. If your finger slips, off it goes. Overall, too expensive when you can pick up far cheaper ones, I u

Good luck JJM, you know Macs laid up after having his appendix out yesterday?
-
I think young one shot scooter will have to kill 5 rabbits a day for the next 10 years to get close to Mac's hauls
-
In hospital!!! Had an op today to take his appendix out, that'll be why he's been off a few days!!!
-
Hey lads, just got off the phone with Jimmy and he says I have to tell you all he's laid up and won't be out hunting for a while. He has had an appendectomy today poor lad. He sounds like he is in good spirits considering but no work and no shooting for a Couple of weeks. So, you can all send him your best wishes and Skot, he says he'll still kick your arse haha. Get well soon biglad.

My thoughts, and its an open GC (Lincs) so I can imagine the local scruff poaching it too!
-
GREAT idea, Mac, challenge is set sir! LOL
-
Tell you what Mac, next trip, you come and if you can find a sodding rabbit on that course, I'll buy you dinner!! :D
-
Not blaming the kit, blaming the fox and the fact the course is barren!
-
Shooting star did more shooting than we did!
-
Took a run over to the golf course last night, Mac wasn't up for it but Matt came out. Warned him it might just be a long walk and no need to bring many pellets! As usual not a bloody sausage out. We saw a fox which kept following us until I put a warning shot over his head, and 3 hedgehogs....they are propper crap, I can stalk RIGHT up to them! I must be the only bloke with a golf course permission with no damn rabbits on! Big moon and clear skys too last night which didn't help. No rabbits = grumpy Daz

Ahhh I see, picked it up did we oh well that FIRST one is surely just round the corner mate. Charlie its the only way they can get one over on me makes me wonder if Daz did shoot the one he got as i was not there when he is supposed to have shot it  atvbmac  ah no, now, no need for me to cheat! 100% honest guv, that hawk didn't drop it at my feet.

Cheers fella, learning from the best
-
haha, I love it that people are missing the "transit van" reference LOL. *DISCLAIMER - Matt and I saw a dead rabbit on the road - picked it up to wind Mac up, LOL we would NEVER SHOOT A RABBIT ON A PUBLIC ROAD!!!!!
-
haha, that was an accident! Cheers mate.
-
Yeah I have to admit on the green, I need to look through the scope. It doesn't pick up the eyes as well, but it does pick them up further away. It is brighter than the red LED and really does pick up white eyes over 100 yrds off. I also find it way easier to focus and pick up objects in the dark, I guess that is why night vision is green?? The red is great for 20-50yrds but I find my battery goes flat quick. I'd love a brighter red, I'd probably just stick with that.
-
HAHAHA, the last thing to go through that rabbits head was possibly a Transit van Couldn't resist though So its going to be like that is it, im out sat night ill show you some rabbits ,shot one,s not run over by a transit :angry2: atvbmac  hahaha, that bunny was long dead when we saw it, stiff as a board but couldn't resist it! haha!
-
Done a write up lads, Matt, you've some explaining to do about YOUR rabbit now!!
-
Urgh that sounds like a dodgy chick flick!! Got to meet Mr Smith last night for the first time. He picked me up from mine and we met Mac down on the permission. After the usual set up and zero Mac says "you can go with Daz tonight" hahaha, All I could think is "what the hell can I teach him? talk about blind leading the blind". In truth, the reason he sent Matt with me is because he can't manage "the long walk" to my (and now Matt's) favorite spot on the permission. It's a good mile walk to the far end of the field, and oddly, feels like a 2 mile walk back! We had a quick look roun

Wouldn't send, so uploading it now
