On birds younger than 72 hours the operations may be carried out by unqualified persons (those over 18 years of age) using a suitable instrument.

You'll find you have to dub certain breeds (Cock Birds) for showing ie OEG OEG birds have been dubbed for years and years, just look at any of the older photos of the breed Some of the birds will need secondary dubbing, but all dubbing heals fairly quick, just use some wound powder
