    He looks well Banter.. and looks like some confidence boosting for him will go a long way, even though it was an accident... Cant be helped at the moment at times, as round me the hares are everywhere as well, hard to avoid them. It seems their breeding well this year, due to better summer we are having then last year. Cant see why he wont be catching regular come the season and your right, most salukis would be fecked by his age and most, only get used for breeding over here without even being tested.. My lad is flying it as well, will get some pics up of hi sometime in the future..

    Ya it could throw a bitch off in all sorts of ways. None of mine will ever come in heat when we are running them hard until maybe about their third heat then its just a matter of timing usually and then they keep coming in every 8-14 months. My Flirt gyp just turned 3 last month and that was her very first heat. Its very normal for these kinda dogs to be that way. I had a lurcher bitch that never came into heat till she was 3 years old, it was her first heat. Some are like this it seems.

    Its usually between the 11th and 15th day, more often the 12th day, seems to be the best day for the bitch to take. Greyhounds are a lot harder to get mated then other dogs, some of them need to be held, muzzled as well. All bitches are different as well, hope that helps a bit.
