"We will never join the Euro" - it was never going to happen. Never, ever an issue !"No involvement in "ever-closer union" - we've never had any and have been exempt since Thatchers days ! "Opting out of open border schemes" - we already have and had no intent of ever taking part ! "Safeguards for financial operations in the City" - the government has gone to the European court several times, to challenge EU policy on banking, claiming it is too restrictive ! So most of the conditions of our "new, special relationship" already exist and have for some time ! Lies upon lies upon lies !

The Pope is diagnosed with a rare form of testicular cancer, and he's told it can only be cured by having sex. A few days later, he calls his cardinals together, to announce his decision. "After much prayer and deliberation, I have decided that it would be best for the future of the Church, if I agree to do this", he says, " but we MUST have some conditions in place. If word of this ever gets out, the Church will be ruined !" The cardinals chatter among themselves, before the most senior says "We are not happy with this course of action but we can see there is little alternative. W

I think Boris is an opportunist, he knows Osbourne is second in line to become leader and if Cameron looses and we vote 'out', then Boris is in a very good position to run for the leadership. Win or lose, Cameron is not contesting the next election as leader, but the referendum result will certainly dictate the timing of his departure. Boris has long been pro-European, so his decision is certainly more to do with leadership ambitions than any change of political heart. Tory party membership is predominantly anti-European, so he could be seen to be currying grass roots support, and setting

In our neighbourhood there was an old fella whose name I won't mention, just in case. He used to ride one of those Puch Maxi scooters ( the ones you could pedal to start or go uphill ?). Problem was that he had a wooden leg - the old type that couldn't bend ! There was also Mad Barry, but that's self-explanatory, really.

Just watching the news........ So, our country is facing possibly the biggest decision we will ever make, and the Prime Minister will announce the date of the referendum...........once it stops raining ! Is he taking the pi55 already ?

The vote won't have to be rigged, because "Leave" won't get much of a look-in in mainstream media. We are up against the Labour party, the Lib Dems, SNP, Plaid Cymru, the Greens, TUC, almost every trade union, many business leaders and even the Pope ! Everybody apart from the working class tax payers. Surprisingly, given that Cameron has had a clear run so far, the vote is pretty evenly split at the moment. I think theat "Leave" need to move the debate away from this "Emergency Brake" nonsense and get it back to one of sovereignty and self-determination. The EU is an anti-democratic,

Apart from the unelected European Commission, the scandalously wasteful Common Agricultural Policy, expenses fiddles on a truly enormous scale, laws dictated to us by foreign politicians and fellow members who turn a blind eye to illegal immigration ?

Rumour is that Theresa May is backing Cameron.........

Theres talk of Boris supporting an out vote, if he did it would be a massive shot in the arm for the out vote if only because of his popularity, the main thing worrying me is there are too many factions in the out camp, they all need to come under 1 umbrella for the good of the cause and country for once I think you're right. Boris, Nigel Farage and George Galloway all on the same platform........ never thought I'd see that one !

What's needed is a Tory "big gun" to speak in favour of Exit.......Theresa May or Boris, ideally. They would bring some populism, and it would also probably signal their intention to be the next leader. Let's remember that the referendum will probably be Cameron's parting shot - whatever the result, he has always said that he will not contest the next election - so its a chance to send him off with his tail between his legs. If he loses the referendum, his retirement will come sooner rather than later......... They're filing into No 10, all keeping tight-lipped. Let's see who breaks ranks

Today's interesting fact....... Believe it or not, Barack Obama, Lewis Hamilton and Sir Trevor McDonald all had the same nickname at school. N***er !

A black fella got run over by a bus today, right outside my front door ! I thought "That could easily have been me !" Then I remembered that I can't drive a bus........

True, and no matter how stupid the claimants actions are they will always seek to blame some one else for their own lack of intelligence. As you can see I am no fan of the blame culture. If it looks hot then do not stick you hand on it and blame someone else. TC When I left school, my first job was for what was then the National Coal Board. Because we were possibly going to spend the rest of our working life several hundred feet underground, we were given a weeks induction course (yes, a whole week!). It would probably come as a surprise today to know that very little time, maybe no m
