  1. Theres a few Malt, TR Robb,in the uk,and Crooked Barn in the states. If i was you i would try the link below, they have everything you need to tune the rattys, and the guy that runs it really knows his stuff.Word of warning tuning rattys can go on and on,and be quite expensive. http://www.sdcustomdesign.com/index.htm I've spoken to Steve before, via Email. There's some cracking custom guns on his site. I was hoping to get a full length barrel off him. I'm not sure if I could get one sent through the post now though! Thanks again for the info!
  2. I don't get you. You asked for info, and someone gives you a link to the best source for Air Arms guns. You then go and make a stupid comment like that. What sort of info are you after?
  3. Good luck with them Stubby! Look forward to seeing the pics. I've been thinking of doing the same......
  4. Nice pics guys! I'm yet to see one in the flesh, heard the buggers plenty of times though!
  5. It all depends. Some rabbits in a population are usually resistant to it. It depends on how many of these rabbits have bred and passed off the resistance. If the population on your permission has had a good bout of mixy before, there's a good chance that the impact will be minimal. On one of our permissions, we've found one rabbit with it so far. None of the 50 or so others that we've taken, with ferrets or guns, has had it yet. The area is quite thickly populated with rabbits, so i'd have thought that alot of them are mixy resistant. Anyway, good luck & fingers crossed.

    who dosnt

I've had a few laughs in there, but don't go in often.
  7. Whats this then, Al mate? Are you telling us SJM's got a wooden leg?
  8. Mk = mark. The model version number. eg. The first model out is the Mk 1. The second is the Mk 2. etc. PCP = Pre Charged Pneumatic. Hope this helps. I've got a Mk 1 s200 here, and I cant fault it. No problem with the bolt, but it's suffering from 'Rattly stock syndrome' It dosn't effect the preformance, but it's a bit annoying! It's held up well for 6 years, and still going strong. My dad's got a s410. great gun, and the magazine works like a charm. Both nice guns, but for some reason, I prefer to shoot with the s200.
  9. Same problem with the one I've got here. (the foregrip area) Must be a common fault. No problem with the bolt though. (not yet anyway!)
  10. Are you sure about that Bill mate? I always thought that the standard ratcatcher was about 8-9 ft lbs, and the king ratty was 9 1/2- 10. The 2240 (ratbuster) pistol put's out dead on 6 ft/lbs, so the longer barrel on the ratcatcher would deffo up the power from 6 ft lbs. You're dead right about the cold weather though. Malt, put a standard ratty over the chrono and see what figures you get.My have been "sorted" rebuilt with new seals, and tuning parts. With a standard length barrel and standard hammer springs on both guns,in a warm room i get, approx 7.5 ftlbs with the ratty, and about 9.
  11. I took 7 out of the 15 ferral pigeons we shot last night, with the 'humble' king ratty! As soon as I can figure out how to get the pictures out of the wifes phone, they'll be up.
  12. Ferrets are ferrets, but I like using albinos purely for the fact they are easier to see in cover, but I prefer the look of polecat markings.
  13. Ratman, post something constructive, for or against, posative or negative, contribute to the debate but don't just pop up to slag off or make sarcastic remarks aimed at individuals. He's been making a habit of that on here since he's joined. It's got worse since he's been banned from airgun BBS..... I bet that site suddenly got a whole lot better....
  14. I know it's slightly off thread..... The reason I think that a large pecentage of the population are getting pissed off with imagrants, arn't pissed off with the foreigners themselves, it's this bloody stupid 'multiculture' idea that we're having forced upon us. It's one thing to welcome folks that want to intergrate into our society, and better themselves as well as making us all richer as a nation, as most of the Indians & Pakistanis did when they came here after the partition of India in the 60's. Thease folk, after years of british rule, moved here because they actually felt Britis
  15. It does look like her! Mind, was the 'Royal A*se Wiping' flunky anywhere nearby?
  16. Tight lines, Airgunner mate! You course fishers are bloody mad camping out all night in the cold to catch some fish you don't eat! (unless you're Polish!)
  17. Went out last night with my mates, Jonesy & Young Eddies. Jonesy had been itching to get out after getting the scope zeroed on his new CZ American. Me on the lamp, Jonesy on the rifle, and Young Eddies as a retriever/lurcher/gate opener! Went to the first farm, seen Charlie in the first field, but he was out of range for the .22LR, so he was left alone! In a way, he helped us, as there were two squatters in the field that wouldn't budge. The first one went belly up, and the next one didn't flinch. So a quick pull on the bolt action, and the second one went the same way! We then walked so

  19. don't need to, I've got my brothers AA s200 here on 'permanent loan'!
  20. Tell that to the 40 odd corvids, the 20 odd ferrals and the two rabbits I've taken out cleanly with my king ratcatcher in the 9 months since i've had it! The thing you have too remember with a gun that's less than full power, is that you're limited by range. The pellet only has to be carrying around 4 ft/lbs to kill a rabbit if it's in the right place. If you stick to shooting at around 20-25 yards max, you can't fault the little gun. The 10 ft/lbs that my gun puts out, is plenty for close range pest control. It's more about your feildskills with a lower powered gun.
  21. I havn't got a contract phone now, but when me and the wife had them before, our highest joint bill was about £168!
