yeh bob, alot of the poor folks just kept cur type dogs prob bit of running dog init, to put few rabbits or birds on the table, and they say most had collie in them in some way or other to me im not a collie man .. i would sooner have a pup off kc .. but ive herd story's of them dogs from lips and from the net and books .. now i have a pic in my head of sutch a dog something that dosnt look a runner . but put meat on the table like some of hancocks bearder crosses sorry im pissed so ive probs miss spelt what i wanted to say lol now an hancock dog looks like it

the only thing i can say is if all youve done is ferreting is ... when you get into lurchers is a whole new world is going to open to you so... a lurcher is going to be working with you for about 10 yrs so .. dont think about what you need now . also think what your going to be running 5 yrs from now good luck and take the advice from better people than me .. atb bob
