    Its a superb rod and ive had carp to 15lb on method feeder,and ive also used it for general course fishing.Its just a great all round rod.Ive not used the 1.75tc section yet as the slim green woven blank has the backbone to haul specimen fish in using a 5 or 6 ounce tip section. After going back to match fishing after 30 years was a big wake up call,and im friendly with Ken Townley who Fox used to sponsor who put me onto the rod. i teamed the rod with a Shimano 10,000 xtea baitrunner loaded with 6lb prestons mono,which was a bit big but i certainly didnt want to go undergunned again.     I had the same problem when i took up match fishing on commercials last year.I got out my old mitchell match and my Abu match rod with all England match tip.One one particular match the float went under and i hooked into a zoo creature.It look me through 3 pegs to the left of me and i had no chance. After the match i bought a Fox Duo Lite Barbel rod which is 1.75tc and also has 3 interchangeable tips.its a superb rod for float fishing,tip work or specimen.it cost me around £120.00 but worth every penny. unfortunately due to illness ive had to pack the fishing in,so if you want to make a sens

    My son is a fireman in the RAF.He is on standby to take over with the strike,but the reality is that they dont have enough firemen to cover it.The firemen have been leaving the forces through redundancy and just because the pay is absolutely shit!!.Civvy firemen get paid far more than my son,who is actually better qualified than a normal firefighter. Going back to the strikes they have about 250 qualified firefighters to cover the whole frigging country,so they are using the army lads.So for each area you will get one qualified fireman and 3 army lads who have had a fortnights fire training.S

    Im afraid this may not be exactly true.If he is tried at a magistrates the longest sentence they can give out is 6 months.Even if he admits to all charges,he can get them all done in one go at the magistrates get 6 months and be out in 3 months.unless the magistrates find it too serious and refer him to crown court.He can also ask for other offences to be taken into consideration,whereby he can get it all out into the open and clear the decks.He will get sentenced for those offences but will get a % off the sentence for admitting them.

    MK1 Huntsman .177 serial number HS0468 circa 1988,but exactly which model?.This one has a custom match trigger and been uprated from 2000psi to 2700psi.I presume it may been used possibly is national competitions,as many were tuned in the day.So i know its a match rifle,certainly as its single shot .177,but i cant find another stock anywhere on the FTR Rifles that looks like this one.I wonder if someone has had poetic licence to do a blinding job if they have!!. The only pic the same as this on the net is this rifle,so has anyone any idea which model it could be?.

    Ive just taken my MTC Viper 6-24x56ir off my HW100,in favour of my 1984 Tasco TR 4-16x40. It has superb jap lenses with twin recticle,and was made for the American market.To get a scope with glass today that is comparable with the Tasco would cost a lot more than the MTC Viper cost.

    Theres a big difference in a use by date and a best before date.Use by means just that,so if its one day over its not worth the risk.Best before means it will taste best before,but will not be as fresh after but perfectly edible.

    Actually its not sold,i decided to keep it and get rid of my MTC Optisan Viper 6-24x56ir its that good.It may not look as fancy,but the optics are clearer than anything that i have ever used before.Im actually very glad it didnt sell as its on my HW100 now.
