    Looks a canny sized ferret or have you just got small hands? No mate hes huge, dwarfs my other one, got him as a resue from a women who was scared to touch him and was apparently feeding rabbit food? So i got him bulked him up and got him good with handling and now hes fine, just massive lol

    Sadly mate alot of the owl sanctuaries are poorly run and dont treat them like birds of prey, more like pets, taking them to public places and charging £5 a picture to the unknowing public, seen a few myself and the conditions they were kept in were terrible, the equipment on them was shocking with most of the owls rings below there anklets and some with no rings at all. They would be better of dead than ´rescued` in most cases

    I know mate, it is getting a little repetitive, everytime somebody puts a topic up about a dog attck the argument soon turns to bull breeds, its a shame i hate to hear them being dragged down unnecessarily

    Neither could i mate, at the end of the day if everybody had the same opinion the world would be a boring place lol Thats why i usually keep of these type of threads as alot of people end up passing judgement on breeds theyve never experienced, just regurgitating crap theyve heard through the media

    Usually try and hold of these threads as theres not alot of reasoning with some people and just cant be arsed to keep up an argument, but that is absolute bollocks, obviously not owned a bull breed then, they make great family pets and love nothing more than pleasing people, if you had been round a good one long enough then you wouldnt be writing stuff like this

    Yes mate, the collar had came off though but luckily it was just in arms reach of the hole he came out of, im glad aswell as it was on borrow from the bloke i was with You were lucky, I put my collars on nice and tight, never lost one yet. you wont choke them. I know mate, will remember for next time, he just seemed to scratch at it when it was tightened down so i loosened it abit but obviously too much

    Went for a walk upto the set with the staffy, first hole i unblocked nothing came out, then i saw the staff stiffing around one of the holes so i knew he was sat somewhere near that one, uncovered the rock and shouted the ferrte out with a chick, he popped straight out and walked straight upto me intent on climbing all over me lol

    i didnt have an option mate, i had the bird with me and it was getting dark he needed putting away and sorting. I will be there first thing tommorow. Its a rocky set aswell do if i went now id only break my ankle on a crack in the rocks lol. Im up there first thing though so hopefully get him back for breakfast time

    Well went to do some ferreting tonight with mine and a mates hawk, rabbit popped out and my mates bird dove down into the hole for it scaring it back down, ferret killed in and since it was a rockset we couldnt dig him out at all. So ive had to leave him, first time ive ever done it, so weve blocked all the holes up and going to go back tommorow, where do i go from there? Do they usually come straight out or what? Be interesting to hear other peoples outcomes in this situation, cheers

    Living naturally ?? Who's responsible for realising those then or are they escapees ??? Also told by someone who had them for a few years licensing is needed for them but not sure if theres any truth In it must admit I wouldn't be happy with just any idiot bieng able to go out and get one. Not sure if they have been released im sure ive heard theyve been living in britain for ages. No you dont need a licence for them, you just need the bird to have an article 10 if it a british species to prove it was born in captivity, and since you do need an article 10 for an eagle owl im assuming t

    More than likely mate, maybe somewhere where they are living naturally already like the dales but then i dont know what the problem of another owl in another's territory will cause?
