  1. Nice looking dog mate, had the same thing with my dog, had him on the lead when a german shepard came up wanting to have a go, his dog ended up coming off alot worse, then the owner had the cheek to ask for my details . Mine is never aggressive with other dogs unless they start first, and in this case i was walking the little yorkshire terrier so i genuinely think he was only protecting him. But your right they make a great pet, i they are brought up right in the first place. Give them an inch and they take a mile
  2. Was bored out my skull. So decided on a quick walk out with the antler catty. Spotted this dove and shot it with alliance 105 bands and a 9.5mm steel. You can see where it entered. Did some proper damage and almost came out behind its neck
  3. You b*****d had me going there, thought you was seriously blaming me for them trying to do you for shooting a pigeon lol
  4. Dont use them for pheasant myself, doves in the conifers and pigeons in the barnNo- 'cos someone once told me that's illegal !! Had the arsepca at my door for lamping roosting pigeons... Wonder where they seen that it wasnt feral ... I was only doing it for your benefit mate, didnt want something like what has happened, happening over a video of a shot pigeon. Sorry for whats happened but them coming to your door has nothing to do with me
  5. Haha not my fault i was only stating facts
  6. Not that im aware of, her previous owner was my mentors son and he used her mainly for just car hawking crows, ive seen some cracking flights this way with her. but hes sold her to another one of our mates as he is getting a male goldie in august so he wont have time for her. I will try get some vids of her in action
  7. Ye mate he produces some cracking gosses, not heard a bad word about any of them, this bird ive seen fly a few times and she never fails
  8. Glyn thompson, dockholme mews, last of that line i believe as he has since sold the farther of this bird, he flew at high weight for a male and her mother flew at 3lb 3 i think
  9. She flies at 3lb 2 mate, parent reared aswell. So she is a lump.
  10. Me and hawkingyorkshire was invited out with a mates gos for a mornings ferreting. First two bolts produced no rabbits, the gos hit them both but didnt pin them. Next few bolts didnt produce a slip as the rabbits ran the the hedge. Then one bolt produced the only rabbit of the day. Not a cracking flight but was ok
  11. Thanks mate No mate he still isnt bothered about them on the lamp, although my mate shot a mixi one with the catty on the lamp and as it jumped up the bird flew it hard and smashed it. So he might be showing an interest but havent tested it out yet, maybe next season he will take to them.
  12. Sorry for not updating the thread in a while, ive been poorly lately with an infection in the bowels, so i havent been out with the hawk in weeks due to the crippling stomach pains, Anyway im ok now and so ive spent the last week just flying the bird and getting him back into it after hes been putting on weight from not being flown Went out lamping yesterday and for one reason or another he just wasnt coming onto terms with the roosting birds, so went out lamping again today and a pigeon was sat on the tree about 50 yards away. The bird spotted it and set off after it. Only he looked like he
  13. Dont use them for pheasant myself, doves in the conifers and pigeons in the barn
  14. Ive got the same as bpr but 1800, its spot on, use it for lamping with the catty and also for recalling the hawk when lamping, wouldnt be without it on a nights out hunting
  15. Haha have a look at any topics with mydogsbetter and yeharr lol, lots of bitching and funny as f**k
  16. Cant wait for this season to end to be honest, been absolutely terrible, my worst so far. Nice break and start a fresh next season is needed for me lol
  17. He keeps mines safe while im out, seriously though he does a great job of detering the wrong people, with me having the hawk and alot of people knowing i fly him he gives me peace of mind knowing he wont let anybody in, you ought to see the window cleaners they shit themselves lol, as long as i let them in the garden he knows to leave people alone. Also at night the bark will be enough to wake us up. Automatic lights are probably a good option as id think most thiefs will try at night but dont want to be in the spot light so to speak
  18. Looks some great hawking there, well done the both of you
  19. Absolutely fantastic, nice when the falconry sections been dead lately
