  2. Have 3 catapults for sale all prices include postage. The first is a hdpe shooter made by phil on the slingshot forum. Hardly shot. Can band it with some alliance sterling 105 if asked. £25 third is a gamekeeper chunky milbro mk1 blank finished with a camo vinyl front and back and polyurethane coating by me. Used alot by me but still in top condition. Looped dankung 1745. £10
  3. Anyone have this book their willing to part with? I know alot of people like to keep these type of books but i would really like to read it lol. Im willing to swap a catty for it aswell if anyone wants to?
  4. Im the same, when i sold my male everybody was saying so whats next, a male goshawk? And i considered it for abit but then i realised i was having a good enough time with the harris. Plus i need a good dog first.
  5. No im not a fat b*****d, id put a wippet to shame lol, i will be running as soon as i slip, if the hawk doesnt catch it i will give it a go hahah. Ive heard great things about the south east falconry club and what they do. Like i said im not bothered about majour number just one would do me. I cant believe it only gets flown once a week though, it might be a phenomenal hare hawk but to only fly a bird once a week is wrong in my book, especially with a bird as intelligent as a harris
  6. The ones my mentor flew were just like harris hawks, only higher in weight and thicker toes.
  7. Im not starting her mate, shes unflown and has bad feather damage, all she is doing is getting fat and moulting lol. Im meaning for the start of next season
  8. Ye we killed one today with some foetuses inside. Wasnt intentional but it happened none the less, thats why i have the carcass now. Hoping to get 2 or 3 more though so i have some to feed and drag for her to try switch her onto them, shes smashing any carcasses im dragging around so the signs of a good hunting bird looks good
  9. Ive got mates that have done it in the past but mostly on the lamp. Im not really bothered about flying them all the time because the numbers just aren't there for me to do it. But id like to get one with the new female just so i have done it lol. Ive got a carcass to fly he on come the season, i need to get a few more to fees her on during the moult, top food for them
  10. Anybody who has read my birds diary will know that i recently had to part with my male harris, anyway ive recently aquired a female harris who has yet to be entered or shown game. Now obviously to fly a male on hares is a bad idea and even a female can be dangerous, but know ive got a female it may be a possibility, has anyone ever flown a female harris at hares and how successful were you? Ive some mates thats flown them for years with the females and done really well
  11. When you looking to get a bird, i would wait until the gamefairs are one, i want to the midlands gamefair and although i didnt need anything there was everything there for everybodies budget, theres a falconry fair on in may i think
  12. I wasnt a fan of the tubes... still arent a fan of the others to be fair... But these 1745's...with the quick attachment slits... Are spot on. Im definitely gonna have to give them a go
  13. Nice one, i need to order some 1745, cant wait to see how they shoot, i generally dont like the harsh snappiness of tubes but these looped tubes look spot on
  14. Some people are just dumb as f**k, cant be helped lol
  15. Join the slingshot forum, go on the template section, find one you like, print it then cut it out, sorted !
  16. I use 9.5mm steerls because their cheap and still get the job done, but shot placement is critical with them, id use 12mm if i could
  17. Finally found them. Looks more redtail than the one above i think. I saw the female out of this clutch aswell and she looked just like a normal redtail. although they werent as full in the body as redtails are
  18. When my mentor bred them. The male had to be removed as soon as copulation happened. They were then brough up by the female alone. The chicks were taken at 18week old with some having more harris like looks wheras other took more after the red. Although all had the redtail crest on their heads. They were great hunters by all accounts but yook a little more effort to get going than a harris. But they followed on just like a harris.
  19. Ive had trouble finding it, i will have a look in the laptop tommorow
