  1. Good question I suppose they are using NV units on rimfire and centrefire rifles They however recoil differently than a springer Centre and rimmys only recoild backwards whereas springer recoil all over the place when the spring discharges Not sure at all
  2. I would love to run my lot at around 17ft.lbs I got all .177's, though upping the power would probably result in a calibre conversion or two The really sad thing I have noticed on other forums and groups I'm part of is the lack of comments on this issue When it was all doom and gloom ppl where happy to give their thoughts no matter how ridicules some of them may have been. Now there is something positive most have nothing to say
  3. I have a late BSA R10 MKI that shoots best with AA Fields JSB do OK but the fields have the edge It's away being tuned atm so I have to see how it shoots ones I get it back I would thing as the barrel isn't changed it will still do best with the AA's
  4. Good I always said the torys will not put up with this rubbish After all they are supposed to represent a large faction of the population that do love their Country sports and pursuit, but lets not think this is over yet Something may still come of it but in a more reasonable way Personally, if it stops the wrong sort from buying airguns I would welcome a licence scheme purely to help protect my interests There is nothing we can do about idiots that have already got guns but at least we can try to stop others getting them. It's not about cost and backdoor taxes for me, it is about
  5. Great scopes but as with everything it all depends on what suits you personally I've shot sidewinders for years but since I need reading glasses I have struggled with eye relief so I swapped to Viper connects The vipers are good but the glass is not the same quality as the Hawke Go and try one first is the best advise I can give you
  6. I use chairgun myself There are a lot of factors to account for your optimum zero Scope hight for example and sightbase That is centre of scope to Muzzle However sightbase doesn't seem to have too much of an impact My Bobcat has the scope 2.63 inches above breech centre and 17 inches from the muzzle I have selected a 0.5 inch killzone as I feel the size of our target, ie the brain of a creature classed as pest, is not well represented with a 1 inch zone That would be one big pigeon, rat or rabbit With this setup I'm in the kill zone from 20 to 37 yards which lends itself nicely to
  7. Better late than never I did this for another forum but posted it on here aswell http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/265684-logun-dominator22/
  8. The Logun Dominator I got my Dominator earlier this year from a friend’s son who had it lying about for years. He couldn’t get on with it and left it to his mate who returned it at some point and it hasn’t been used since then. When I got it, it leaked everywhere it possibly could leak but as a freebie I wasn’t going to complain. I have replaced every seal on this gun and then filled it with a stirrup pump from empty. The first thing I noticed was how accurate it was. The second thing that came to my attention was the biathlon cocking lever is a dream to use. About the Dominator -8 shot P
  9. I use a silicone cloth i got from Welsh Willy at Woodfields Gun Care Products
  10. Nice rig tubba I got a S410 in .177 but with a sidewheel scope so not ideal for night shooting My Logun is in .22 and has a Hawke Sports HD 3-9x50IR scope and thats a better setup for nights I'm playing with the idea to get another .177 or maybe convert the Logun to .20
  11. Can't argue with that fella You shooting .177 or .22?
  12. Bit of a late reply but here goes Datstate Huntsman is something i like the look of, never shot one so i can't comment A HW100 is something i'd like to have and will have one day. Supposed to be heavy but i'm a big guy AA... i have a .177 s410 carbine and you can't go wrong with one
  13. I would most devinetely buy it For £ you can't go wrong but unless you feel comfortable to retune it to make it leagal it may be best to get a quote from someone who can do the work first
  14. I had a 78 Dl with a webley thumbhole stock and it shot great Fully tuned and with a good scope i don't see why a good shot can't pop bunnys at 45 yards However they are warm weather guns make no mistake about it. CO2 needs to expand from it's liquid state into a gas. Below 5 degrees that isn't going to happen as efficiently as during the warmer month. Tuning it to spit out more CO2, and they do spit it out if you do, is false economy and you'd be in deep once it gets warm again. Some guys have power adjusters to compensate so you'll need a reliable chrono to make sure your adjustments
