  1. I had to google them both! Very nice but obviously quite rare over here!
  2. Thanks. They are on the big pond now along with the other two adults. Definitely 10 of them, will probably sell a few. She's a good mum so far, and yes she is very protective- I had to be quick with the pics as she was hissing!
  3. Haha don't get addicted! My mum is obsessed with incubating eggs- we now have over 60 chickens (+ ducks & turkeys)!!!
  4. Had 9 Khaki ducklings hatch from under their mother yesterday. They've gone over onto our pond now, just praying that they all survive! Yours are sweet, how many in total?
  5. Thanks all He is a woolly lurcher so when he has his beard and hairy eyebrows intact you can really see the Wheaten. Although lots of non-lurcher people ask if he has Afghan Hound in the mix! I personally like him clipped like this, I love Saluki's you see! Thanks very much. I'm between Sudbury and Colchester
  6. He is Saluki X Wheaten/Whippet x Wheaten/Grey. Thanks
  7. I really like them all! Think the youngest one is probably my favourite though!
  8. I've posted photos before of my lurcher as a pup and growing up. Time has flown by and he was a year old on the 1st July. He got clipped today so thought I would post pics from today of him looking well groomed and mature! At times I worry that he needs some more condition but he is free-range as he has the run of the farm all day so he is quite fit. Maybe he's just at a gangly stage but would like to know if people think he looks ok, for peace of mind and if not kind advice is always appreciated!
  9. Hi, I'm from Suffolk too Just to be nosy, what kind of dogs do you breed?
  10. We have 3 Khaki Campbell ducks which we hatched last summer and now a year on one of the females has hatched her own. Think they must have been born yesterday morning but we didn't see them, I've just found them and they're all looking healthy and fluffed up. Seem to be 9 or 10 from what I've seen. It shouldn't be long before she takes them over to the pond, fingers crossed they all survive!
  11. Don't see the harm in it personally. Meet a few like-minded people perhaps and most dogs enjoy the day out! I'm off to a Terrier & Lurcher show at the local hunt kennels at the weekend. It will be a great opportunity to get my young dog socialising and it's all a bit of fun!
  12. How is she bred? She is so like mine and so is yours p***y poacher! My boy is 1 year on Monday and he is Saluki X Wheaten/Whippet X Wheaten/Grey. Not the best pic,he looks really small! His coat was clipped 6 weeks ago and needs doing again as he looks a bit scruffy... Just clipped out: Now:
  13. Thank you! Yours sounds very interesting! I have all sorts of colours, shapes and sizes in my herd!
  14. My old mare, very much missed after losing her 18 months ago. She was a real beauty.
  15. Nice dogs you have, especially the blue one. Here's mine, he will be 1 yr old in a couple of weeks.

  17. Lovely dog! Kind of wanting a whippet now, met a lovely brindle one at a show on Sunday
  18. Hope my pup is feeling better tomorrow, can't stand seeing him sick :-(

  19. Pics of mine, I'm afraid I don't have any great ones... As a pup between his parents A very strong pup He wouldn't win a beauty contest now though but at 7 1/2 he's still strong and fit, coping with shooting.
  20. I have a 7yr old Cocker x JRT. He is built quite stocky and has a fantastic coat, its short haired but dense and he is very thick skinned. Goes in all types of cover. Has caught a few rabbits and a good ratter too. He is very game and tenacious like a terrier but as a pet is completely soft like his spaniel dad. He also retrieves out shooting! Would post pics but Im on my phone.
  21. My male Cocker mated with my old JRT bitch 7yrs ago and she had 4 pups although the first was unfortunately still born (he was a very large pup for the size of her) but the 3 that survived were lovely strong pups and we kept a dog. As a young pup: Now aged 7 alongside his father (aged 8 ):
  22. My Saluki x Wheaten/Whippet/Grey at 9 months. I'm going to get him clipped when the weather warms up a bit- he gets hot quite easily!
  23. Haha thank you! Yeah I hope there are many more to come! I imagined him to be really excited and go mad after having his first bunny, don't know what other peoples pups have been like. He was panting for ages and I have been taking him out a few times recently at night and have slipped him on some rabbits and when we come back he gets really restless and pants loads. I wondered if it's just being over excited and he's still pumped full of adrenaline or if it's fitness... The fast pulse and panting of the adrenaline come down - and then the long sleep after ! Dipstick can easily ha
