  1. There's that many different opinions and different breeding of lurchers I think it is best to look at the averages of what quarry you run and the land you run on. Then pick a dog you like and is suitable for your job and get it. If you like the look of a dog I think it helps and then it's down to you to build a good bond and do the training to make it in to a good dog.
  2. My lurchers never yap when run with my jrt but you never no if others av had it especially with lurcher pups worth asking the question.
  3. Whats the ideal size rabbiting dog for ferreting, day time mooching and lamping rabbits?

  7. Do you lads put your 8 week old pup straight in kennels or av them in the house for a bit,
  8. The whippet greyhound is smooth coated and the collie greyhound is rough coated.
  9. Iv also got a saluki bull greyhound I just find he is a bit big for ferreting getting though cover for bolters.

  12. With my albino hob once it comes out and walks well away and doesn't make a return I no it's time to move others wise he's comes out of the holes as a look then back down or out of one down another.
  13. At what point do you say enough is enough it is empty and move warrens. ?
  14. No pal I don't no how old they are I found them down warrens when been out ill try them
  15. Iv just got another collar so I will be using them together on big warrens. When I went on sunday with my albino he bolted 3 and killed 3 but stayed with the kill and dug to one alive but he was still on it. My polecat is about 2 I bread him myself but I haven't used him as much as the other iv 2 Jill's but never work them.
  16. Iv 2 hobs, i always use my albeno he tends to chase the rabbit into a stop end or keeps on to it till I dig it out with the rabbit but today I used my polecat and he was giving them the run about and bolting them but on the odd occasion he would stay in a certain spot then move about again but always went back to the same spot. So I dug to it and it was a stop end with a rabbit in it, I couldn't understand why he kept leaving it then going back instead of just staying there.makes me think how many iv missed today but he never walked away from the holes just put his head out then went back dow
