Iv a saluki bull greyhound and he is really fast but his pray dive is too high he wants to catch it everytime in sted of using his brain he just chase chase chase where iv seen other saluki greyhounds use there brain and wait till the right time to strike they make the quarry do the work by forcing them to make the mistake and not over shooting and missing.
Whats the most important attribute in a saluki grayhound, speed, stamina, brains or a high pray drive. ? I was readying a article last week by darcy in country mans and he was saying how it not all about speed but brains plays a bigger factor.
Its the shit dogs that are up for sale and get passed about if I bourght a pup put all the time into to it and did everything I could to get out what I want and it still wasnt good enough I wouldn't sell it on saying it a top working lurcher job forces sale bla bla if it isn't good enough And there wasn't a friend or family member that wants a pet that isn't house trained. I would have it pts better than getting passed from kennel to kennel.
I think every dog man should be responsible for his mistakes if its from bad selection of breeding or bad trainning. And if a dog is no good at its job it should not be sold on. No one sells a good dog.
No it not mine I'm happy with mine it's just I no lads that go through loads of dogs and the dogs just seem to be passed about if no
Good I think there better off dead than passed from kennel to
Kennel.
If a whippet/ greyhound was put over a saluki greyhound will it put more speed into the pups and would it loss it's stamina?or could you get both speed and stamina?
My saluki bull greyhound was bad, every time I slipped him on the lamp he would hunt the hole field up in the dark. I got a electric shock collar and he is bang on now,run him with it on for 4 months but only had to use it a few times then he got the hang ov it one run then straight back and then he could have another run. I don't even use the e collar now and he comes back straight away
Just got myself a Hancock pup today he is 8 weeks old and is what I av wanted for a few years. He is a 1/4 beardie boarder collie 3/4 greyhound he is rough coated with a traditional black and white sheep dog look.
