    there is no strait answer to this, personal preferance will also play a part. i use lakelands for example where as others would use patterdales etc. just because the dog is of a certain breed it doesnt mean they will work. yes the majority of terriers will kill the odd rat but digging with terriers is a different game. if you do your homework and look for a patterdale etc out of working parents with a certain amount of work and a pinch of luck you may be on a winner. you have to think long and hard about what you really want. a ratting dog and a digging dog are in two different leagues. a plum

    i would help you out but very busy at the moment, they are very clever. get into a hide or wherever you are out of sight before the sun comes up. get a magpie decoy if possible, lay a rabbit carcase out near it. patience is the key, they also go into a frenzy when one is shot so be quick on the reload. they also like eggs. anyway take a flask sit tight

    my misses is ok with dogs, when friends or family or whatever are about its all our dogs soon as they need anything its sort 'your' dogs out!

    theres a thousand airrifles for sale why by something that has a chance of being inaccurate?

    christ save his money dont buy this gun, of couse if its loose it will effect accuracy. if he cant hit an apple every shot i suggest he starts practising more on paper targets with a rest until he can hit a 5p piece consistently at 30 yards.
