    Cheers mate. We have had nothing but poxy luck the last 8 moths. The other lad who usually does the terrier work had his kennel empties only took the working terriers that's why I been using my dog with the hounds and now we are screwed. Summat will show up I hope. Thanks mate.

    Used my bitch yesterday out with the hounds run 1 in and got a mark on her. Not done this place before didn't look overly deep or bad. Famouse last words not overly deep but solid from start to end sadly dog didn't make it. And I got nothing here to bring on the young dogs. I feel like giving up because I am not going to find another dog to replace this one this year. If anyone knows of anything that is for sale. It would be appreciated. And won't be forgotten.

    I am hoping I won't need to go over that bridge to be honest. My two are flying at bushing at the moment so they will be kept for that. I like my dogs to do a bit of everything not just for ground work.

    I feed my terriers and lurchers on duck carcasses the hounds are fed the same way we are lucky enough to have a good supply the company only uses legs and breasts its all free range and the dogs do real well on it all. They don't need as much duck compared to dried biscuit. If the duck dries up for a week or two then they are fed biscuit but they don't enjoy it as much that is a fact in my opinion.

    I got two that are going to be entered this year most prob end of the year they will be present every Sunday out with the hounds having a look as they have been the last few times out and they are showing good signs they are flying In the cover just bunny bashing. Everyone you hear will say they are slow to come on but mine have been keen as hell since 6 months old. It's the first pair I have had always kept lakelands and Russell's and these have been no slower than all other terriers. Parents do the job. I won't be using mine for just ground work I want them to hunt and work all quarry above

    I have two young dogs I am going to try this year towards the end of the season they will be present on our hunt this year to see what is asked of them they are making good progress. Took me an absolute age to track a breeder down who didn't want stupid money for sh@t found a guy who's name was passed onto me buy a friend a managed to get two pups off him for 300 pound both parents are grafters this was vouched for before I even made a call to him. So there is a few about but it's a mine field of ppl who want to pull ya pants down.

    This season will be the time I make my mind up which dog to use I am not into the money making shit that ppl tag onto the borders that do a bit it's making a mess Pf the working borders.

    I don't put too many pics about to be honest. I will be speaking tithe chap in the next couple of weeks I have promised him a day out with our hunt so I will send you a pm if he knows for anything. I am sure he will know if there is any borders worth having a look at. But most of them he knows for will be out of the dam and sire to my dogs so that's where my luck ends lol

    I am not looking to stud my dogs out to be honest I would just like to get a bitch from working stock. I could of got you a dog pup from the bloke I had mine from the dam and sire was tidy and had seen plenty they was 150 a pup Thats the reason I bought two lol. Took the chance and I am more than happy I am in touch with the fella if he does have a litter in the future I can let you know but I don't think he will he ain't into the breeding of them he just wants them working and the both graft.

    The guy I had them from only has the mother and father I am hoping to get one from a diff breeder the chap I had mine from only had a litter from the dam and sire due to wanting to keep the line going don't think he will be having another litter to be honest

    can anyone help me I have got two working border dogs. I want to have a litter from them in the future I have looked everywhere for someone who works borders and have yet to find a tidy person to get a bitch from distance is not a issue or price for the right bitch not that bothered if its kc or not to be honest either as i am looking to get a worker. any info would be greatly apprciated if you have a desent bitch that you use and are looking to have a litter in the future can you get in contact with me please thanks.

    It may be a start to try and determin what is at home in these holes ie rabbit fox or badger as you may do well to avoide the latter 2 keep an eye on what dropping are around the holes is usually a good start but not always as animals do use each others holes from time to time. It's very hard to start off in this game sure more posts will follow but it will be a lot to take in all the best BB

    As above. The dog was bred I am guessing for a job and the dog in my eyes knows more than the owner and that is never a good thing to someone who is starting out. Everyone needs to start somewhere but the dog you have is for someone with a few good years under the belt I suggest a flexi lead and keep an eye on the dog as when it gets bored of not doing the job it needs to do it may take a turn for the worst. It sounds to me that you are keen to learn maybe get a mate who is into this to show you the ropes and good luck with that as there are many people who keep them self to them self in this

    Hi mate I have the 455 th with heavy barrel and I had the 452 before that. My mod is perfect no marks at all and as for your accuracy issue I had to put about 200 rounds through it before it come good and now getting 1inch groups easily at 100 but what I found is the min I clean it the barrel needs a few rounds through it to get back on track. My 452 was the same but I clean mine after around 200 rounds now then stick a couple through it ready for the next outing. Yeah rods are lovely to use plenty of pole in them casting but not to ruthless under the rod tip I had the rods a little after they was released seen a stand at a game fair demo them and thought they seemed a good buy. Not at all sorry well happy with them.
