    from about a year old jmo you should limit to avoid problems for them later in life this will allow their joints and muscles to develope naturaly as if the pup is doing too much it could ruin it. As said all pups are different.

    Giving the dog a rub down loosen the muscles before you go out and when they are finished helps and keeping them hydrated also as acid build up gives them cramp just same as humans.
