  1. I have 2 jagds now, one serbian and one scandinavian. 2 different type of dogs. I also owned ch serbian dog, the best dog ive had, unfourtnaley he died, but his sharpness and sound was thebest ever and very hard dog and great obedience. Anyway, the serbian dog I have now is very hot and works too hard, he is better underground than above but perhaps too large. scandinavian female is a different animal, very hard and has a less intense worktype but saves energy and works longer. Serbian dogs I believe is one of the best in europe cause its been hard selected and much more chosen on abilities fo
  2. its an accident. happends time from time when you have dogs. Get the tools and it can be sorted at home, shaver, cleaning stuff, some needles or staple guns etc. Some penicillin. Rest. Then make sure that next time tendencies are being showed, just slap with leash over the nose or make sure they know you are the one calling the shots. it completely idiotic and has nothing to do wit hhunting and aggressivness with other dogs. they work toghether, yes, it can be some dogs that guard whats been shot or done for them for other dogs but not in a big sense. if you have a dog for 12 months nothing sh
  3. in the 4x4 probably, if anyone would show up with an ebt in the morning fogg i would ask if he is taking care of the neighbours doggie, nothing to do around green clothes n early mornings...
  4. so for hare and rabbit and the occianal teeth tryout, what woul be the optimum, medium n bigger fields. if to get 2-3 ,a good combo.
  5. tesckels come in longhair, rough coat or smooth, smooth are coloured black n tan or red, rough grey/dirty n longhaired usually red. seen some longharied hunt only above as baying dogs, most people use smooth for undergorund and baying and rough are ralaey used for anything else then above. they looked crossed but when stood side by side you see tehre it not many similarites except 4 legs, nose n tail. working ability rough n smooth are often top dogs, tday long coated are rarely seen. teckels are widely used over here, and very much liked, slow n not to intense, very good allrounder, hard dogs
  6. Sounds like its all there, with those oppurtunities its not an effort to get a lot of dogs selected out, even 3rd chances. In my world i owuld love to keep a litter and select out the best and just going on that, within 3-4 years you could a solid base of dogs. all the best and be aware n responsible, stay safe
  7. If you cant say how old a dog is you must ask it yourself....
  8. Isnt this more of a people question than a dogquestion?! Its lke saying all dogowners are untrustworthy people so you cant do it. i dont see it, maybe im blind, or is this a bitch yourplanning to put on lend out for breeding on admag/gumtre?
  9. that being said i think its easy to stress a young dog to far if it start to work and by that ruinin it for the long run, some are pleasers and some aint, and the pleasers will do better when older...
  10. its not any mathematics to it, just use your eyes, from 6 m o i think they should get something to react on and se where it goes from there, eventually and hopefully they pick up, but sitting for 2 years n doin nuthin and then being suppose to know the drill thats like asking someone to do a labor he never trained for. i think early signs of not at all having interest pretty much gives a good hint, rarely they turn from white to black due to time and patience. either they dont care/act cold n start later or they start and go from there. from scared to ful out ive not yet seen myself anyway..
  11. talked to the man many many years ago. Polite and helpful.
  12. Yes, early age of course, usually just go out in the forrest and sit with the pup. I just seen a friends jagd screamin and just grab a 120lbs hog straight of, 7 months old, so they usually go early but are unwise. I can image they are in the danger zone for coyotes, like the wolf here. Dogs generally get wiser with age andthe old ones are really clever if they get to that age. There are some countries where jagds breeder association ONLY breed and accept fully proven dogs for matings. No one passes through.
  13. You´re welcome, its just a sum of being around dogs and mostly hunting dogs since the age of 11. I´ve seen great dogs lost in the hands of poor ownership and ive seen decent not even decent dogs be fair hunting dogs due to good ownership/training/time and strong bond with the dog. Of any breed or purpose I always personally like a dog with an attitude that makes it easy to bond good with, cause then you can push that dog to do things it woulnt otherwise do, for you. Yes, I think if you are on the islands a mute is what you want for mooching n underground (generally poaching), get a jagd or
