  2. Kind of, they usually come from the side of the field's dyke's ect. Jus probe between the hill's till you find the tunnel's. It can be frustrating at time's but the reward's are worth it. Theyl try dig around and under the trap's but theres a trick or two to make this more difficult for them to do so. ATB Marty
  3. Morning shooter's Mr Farmer was happy this morning when he saw me take these from his barly field this morning. You cant beat seeing a farmer smile first thing on a lovley sunnysunday morning That's how you get your Brownie point's and your permission's Have a nice weekend Atb all Marty
  4. Good effort Im a HW100 man myself..yep a Gay cal one at that  NOW ALL I HAVE TO DO.... IS PAINT IT BLACK.!! Because that look's the Bollock's Very nice Atb Marty
  5. Calabrated scope is my weak point, Im no good at the technical stuff although i know what you mean. I zero at 35y, half mildot is around 45y, 1 mildot is 50y 1 and half mildot is 60y and so on. I had a gun tuff LRF from Ramsbottoms but had it taken from my van and didnt replace it till recently, with an MTC Rapier 5-700. In my opinion.. if your intending to get into air rifle shooting and going after live quarry...wich most new commer's to air gun shooting do..especially the younger generation, on purchesing your new rifle you should be purchesing a LRF at the same time. This is th
  6. Thank's for the comment's lad's Atb to you All Marty
  7. That's spot on ..It's a good scope for around the £120 £130 mark. Im starting to wounder the effective killing range for the sub 12 .177 pcp..I know there good at +yard's...It seem If you can hit it on the button this side of 100yard's It will go down..Weather condition's permitting. I know shooting extream long distance with such a small bit of lead has Its disadvantage's, what would you call a good limit for the sub 12 with out taking to much of a risk as to injuring an animal rather than killing it cleanly. Personally my limit seem's to be into the 60yard weather condition's permitti
  8. Went round all my permission this morning checking trap's and took this from a gate. Shot's at this range are easy with a bit of confidence and an accurate pcp. I Alway's shoot 50+yard's with 99.9% succes unless the condition's force me to close in on a target. Here's a few picture's. Have a nice weekend Atb Marty
  9. Cheer's..I think a site like this is about helping other's. After all...EVERYDAY IS A SCHOOL DAY.!!
  10. I dont bother with them either, i just let the land owner know where iv put them. I always cover with grass or build up a fake mole hill around them, sometimes i use the turf i dug out by chopping it in half and put it either side of the trap..these stop unwanting eye's a treat
  11. This is a good way to get into the countryside and earn your permission.
  12. Excellent shooting Iv been thinking about having a go at this scope cam craze, I was looking at some kind of cam yesterday at Blackpool Air Rifle's but it was a bit of a clumsy looking thing on top of a scope..I like the idea of the handy cam attached to the scope. What cams are the lads using for it.??

    Help

Strange Iv had 3 HW100 177 In the last 5 year's and they'v been spot on, straght out the box and down the range and zerod in a couple of minute's. The last two liked AA Field's but the current one like's JSB Exact's. Id try a different pellet personally or you may of got a bad batch..Im told JSB and AA Fields are the same pellet. One of the tins of JSBs i had recently where terrible, they where deformed around the skirt's but still hit where i wanted them to hit Failing that..Smash it up and buy another rifle..I would Atb Good luck

    Help

Weather.?? Is it windy or is there a breez on.?? The 100 is very accurate so it could be bad pellet choice..Im using JSB Exact's and i get pellet through pellet hole at 35y Are you using a bipod or rest to help you keep the rifle steady while you zero it.? Marty
  15. Hi chap's, just woundering what most use on a rifle used for hunting...Wax or Oil.? I see that most stock's finished with oil seem to have a high sheen & to be honest Im not sure if that's my kind of thing..mainly because I hunt with it. What oil's or wax is best to use..price no object so not botherd about the cheap option just the best finishes. Marty
  16. Are you in Belgium by any chance.? I know they have no limtit on Air RIfle power there. We live in the Czech Republic as well as Uk and you cant even use an air rifle to kill an animal out there Sick of this place already lol, think it's time for a trip to Cyprus...Then back to Central Europe for a while

  18. I always used .22 but when i got into HFT i got myself a HW100kt .177.. then i bought another HW100kt .177 and in January i bought ANOTHER HW100k Sporter .177 I prefer 177 cal for long range hunting and HFT,the pellet will travel through a rabbits skull at 50 yard's no problem, the 177 pellet is also less effected by windy condition's. For stopping power buy a 12gauge 3" magnum that will stop them DEAD All the best in your quest but... at the end of the day any cal should give you many happy hours of fun Atb Marty
  19. Hello mate Welcome..hope you enjoy your stay Marty
