I hope this doesn’t start anymore arguments but I wonder what age they crop the ears, around 3 days old the same as dew claws ? They must bleed like mad like when an older dog cuts its ear it’s hard to stop bleeding, can’t be any good that a little pup loosing loads of blood

Perhaps that’s why salukis developed feathered ears and tails to stop the frost bite, I know it gets cold in the desert at night but does it go below zero degrees often ? Also why don’t they cut the ears off sled dogs if that’s the reason, they sleep out in blizzards with no problems, I think the main reason is because Arabs are mental lol

Strange thing to do isn’t it, I heard it was to stop there ears getting ripped on thorn bushes and the like, no reason really justifies it thow as it’s not really a problem to any other working dog

I agree, that’s the best way to do it if you have got someone that can pick up and drop off, it’s the car that will get you caught 9 times out of 10, either it being parked up somewhere that looks suspicious or driving up and down trying to spot your hares from the roadside and someone gets your number plate and reports you. Years ago you could drive round lanes on the fens all day at 10mph getting runs from the roadside without even having to walk the land, no chance of doing that now get reported straight away

Haha no buddy in your dog he was foxy x Charlie but you have foxy and Charlie in there from different dogs so in a round about way yes lol and your bitch has scout in who was out of sniffer which was buddy’s brother

Maybe, it would of looked even worse if he had of lost with her as she had a good name for herself at the time, it’s a shame when people are more worried about what other people think about there dogs rather than just enjoying a bit of sport

Your right there, when captain was at the top of his game and the talk of the town old boozer Alan booth took him to some top hares on wainfleet when it was wet which was where he took people when they thought they had the best dogs and captain got blown to bits, think I’ve still got it on dvd somewhere it’s funny
