  1. Yes he was a very good dog, see your pup looking better already lol but next time get him the plain nan as garlic suppose to be poisonous to dogs, pasta is a good cheap form of carbs aswell cook up a pan and mix it into biscuits and meat, good for the older dogs aswell the night before your planning to run them, carb loading like marathon runners do, g Caulfield told me that he always use to mix a bit of pasta into food the night before running, extra energy for the next day, I use to use pasta, high fat minced beef and tinned tomatoes mixed into the biscuits which had been soaked in hot water
  2. Yes little skinny thing only 23 tts light as a feather, buddy was only 24 tts, toms dog out of them turned out about 28 huge thing and built like a foxhound
  3. Have you seen that pic of the saluki I had in one of the passion for coursing books in the chapter about Tom I think
  4. Get him on some Eukanuba puppy the lamb and rice one, good for putting weight on, but yea I know that pure I had that I put buddy to was a skinny bitch couldn’t get any weight on her but that was mainly down to her being so fussy sometimes wouldn’t eat for 2 days no matter what you gave her
  5. Smart looking pure int he, you keep saying he’s a skinny f****r, if you want to get more weight on him try putting him on a lower protein biscuit and feed more biscuit than meat, it’s a known fact that a lot of pure salukis won’t hold weight on a high protein high meat diet they need plenty of carbs to keep weight on, must be from thousands of years of only being fed pitta bred in the desert and not getting much meat there metabolism has got use to it
  6. I have always thought the opposite, I think dogs with nearly straight back legs to slow, ones with good angulation usually very fast, look at the shape of a hares back legs there kept almost folded in half when there loping around and look at the speed of them for there size
  7. Empty flask with the thermal inside it in the car, old army trick
  8. Get a pure whippet over your bitch, now that would be interesting to see what they turned out like
  9. Yes I can imagine there would be a lot more bad ones than good ones, not sure what a deerhound could add to benefit any lurcher, I think some people just like the look and size of them
  10. I wonder if anyone has ever bred a first cross saluki deerhound and what they would be like, probably useless but you never know with that bit of hybrid vigour could turn out faster than either parent, I think a first cross deer grey put back to a pure saluki could work thow
  11. Living the high life eating out on a Wednesday night you must be rolling in it
  12. You wanna thin them Charlie’s out just think how many few day old leverets there taking out during the summer on the spots you go
  13. Smart bitch 25 inch a good size for whippet cross how much whippet was in her, only asking as I’ve just bought a whippet x greyhound pup for local mooching and running small land, be interesting to see what it turns out like, I haven’t had a dog without a fair bit of saluki in for the last 30 odd years
  14. What height was she and can you stick a pic up of her please
  15. I had a young bitch out of him to a coursing bred that I sold on that later sold for 10k was suppose to of been a right weapon
  16. Is ghost the father to your saluki ?
  17. I hope you leave a bowl of water in there overnight for your kid lol
  18. I think it’s Gunter that has jacked really he’s to scared to run his dog over here and doesn’t want to be embarrassed infront of the Mchull legend so he’s saying his dog has jacked instead and it’s not worth him coming over lol
