  1. Sob ...She's beautiful.... She'd never be mine, she too complicated and expensive for me... ahhhhh hahahhaa wahhhhh
  2. Hi Guys, I have a HW97k and MKII Tx200 both .177 and both surplus to requirements really. Would anyone be willing to trade for a Prosport .177? Mucho Gracias
  3. Wow! Great price. Paid £275 for mine not long ago and thought it fair. All the best!
  4. Are those naughty Weihrauchs kicking your british boys out of bed!? The dependable, faithfull, loyal Air Arms TX200 MK1 the first to go, now the sleek, versatile and compact BSA Ultra!? Dear oh dear...
  5. My dad's is better.... only jokin. Jealous? NO WAY, never! So's your face!
  6. Got a .177 Hw97k in good nick here. She and I had a falling out recently. After stripping down my tx's she was a pain in the bum by comparison, damn german over engineering! Gave her a good seeing to, de-greased, clean up, re-lube, and she pays me back by running at 12.4ft/lbs without any spacers/washers! Currently deactivated, but will be 'detuned' back down to the legal limit, before the transaction takes place... I'm curious as to what will be offered. If no-one has anything to swap, £275 will see her rehomed. Not willing to post (due to the 8 mile round trip on foot). I'd like a
  7. I got a hw97k... Stroud not too far for you is it? I used to live in Swansea years back...
  8. Ohhh I'd love to complete my tx collection... mk1,2&3! Shame i'm nowhere near you, would only have a hw97k to offer running at 12.4ft/lbs after a strip and relube. Has left me a bit up shit creek...
  9. Canoes, gaiters, paper, kindling birch is a versatile and loyal friend to man.
  10. I have a hacksaw and a file... I thought of that myself. I doubt i could make one look more untidy than it already does! I'd prefer a properly finished spring to the one I have. Hopefully one that I can adjust up not down. A long shot perhaps...
  11. Anyone got a surplus spring perhaps left over from a tune kit? I ask because after stripping down my 97 I noticed if have one of the cut and poorly finished springs that is now running at 12.4ft/lbs without washers. I don't have the thick sticky crap that was on the piston to detune it back to 11.6ft/lbs and I won't/can't legally use it as it is... Happy to pay postage. Not sure what I can trade in return, have some surplus high scope mounts, 11mm dovetail and 20mm weaver... a Hawke 4x32 scope inc mounts/ a Nikko Sterling scope 4x32 inc mounts.
  12. Forgot to mention that I have some surplus 11mm dovetail or 20mm weaver 'high' scope mounts doing nothing that i'd be happy to trade...
  13. Pretty sobering huh! Here one minute, gone the next... maybe the hens conspired against him for some r&r. "Thems chickens organised..."
  14. What they said! You wanna give up them fags! Thought you were gunna pop holding your breath on some of those shots
  15. A bit of a long shot this time of year, i know, but has anyone got any seeds lying around the shed they know will probably go to waste? I'm not particularly bothered what it is. I'm after all sorts, 'Fruits, Roots, and Shoots' so anything from courgettes to carrots to lettuce. Will pay postage if required, would be very happy to let some go to seed and send you the fresh ones for next year! Thanks guys, thought i'd give it a go.
  16. There's a few about my way. Plenty of signs of activity. A sunny day in the middle of the afternoon seems the best time to catch em around here.
  17. From the watery taste i'm not surprised on the low syrup yield. Still, with free fuel in the wood burner and lots of birch trees, i'll give it a go.
  18. Personally I drink it as is. I will be making syrup from it which I read is darn expensive to buy.
  19. Sorry! But I love tx200's too. Preferred to my 97k only on the ease of stripping them down.
  20. A great gun in capable hands evidently makes for an inevitable outcome. I'll let ya know when i'm ready for my swift dispatch...
  21. Put my half assed carpentry skills to the test. Why didn't they teach PROPER woodwork at school?! Cleaned up that last joint later, left the peg in for illustration purposes.
  22. If you guys want to gather Birch sap, you best hurry. I managed to buy some spiggots off eBay. Birch sap has numerous known medicinal properties and is a tonic appreciated and drunk by the Russians and japanese. Its blooming expensive mind! March is about the only time to get it. That squash bottle was full in under an hour, the orangina one in 10-20mins.
  23. Bought the 1976 edition recently for about £15 if I remember correctly... appears I paid over the odds http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Complete-Book-Self-Sufficiency-Schumacher/dp/0571110959/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1332090553&sr=8-8 used copies for £4.68... worth alot more on your bookshelf!
  24. I've a mkii that I am rather fond of. I also have an overdraft the bank seems rather fond of... she's my go to gal, fits your description... not sure I'd want to post though. I'm Gloucestershire way. I'll leave it with you.
  25. Best wishes and kindest regards! You'd be a wily and wise quarry if you weren't top of the food chain! Enjoy.
