  1. Cheers Bill! Might do that for shits n giggles and post a link up.
  2. So! After a day of tinkering, here's my conclusion. Primary objective; Boost power from 10.6ft/lbs to 11.6ft/lbs. Achieved. Combro says a consistent 791fps @ 11.67ft/lb. Happy with that. Secondary Aim; Improve rifles performance or 'feel'. Achieved. Cocking cycle is very smooth and very little 'twang' or internal noise. The thrust bearing washers were a very snug fit. Too snug for my liking. However, when used (and pretty much jammed in) the rifle fired nice and crisply with little recoil. The fps and lbs varied however from 11.67ft/lbs - 9.6ft/lbs and 791fps - 783fps. I w
  3. Just found out they're £3.50 if I pick them up. Wish I'd known...
  4. Ask solware... i got the idea from their Genesis kit. Whilst i love my mk2, she's my best candidate for experimentation.
  5. Gunna be a real trial. I have a combro if it even engages the sear... Had a ring around Stroud and found a small firm called G.E Engineering. That's a pic they emailed over for me. Charged me £4.50 inc p&p. Couldn't find em on eBay but that's not to say they aren't there. I got bored of scrolling on my phone if anyone else wants to try them pm your details and i'll get some more and send em out won't charge extra, postage shouldn't be that much, plus ppl like Davy and sweeney-todd have been very generous to me. I walk into town Friday's so let me know ASAP.
  6. Cracked open my 16 year old TX to give her some luving the other day. I got curious... Power is down to 10.6ft/lbs with JSB Exacts .177 and Davyt63 has kindly donated me some spacers/pre load washers to have a fiddle. Before his kind act of generousity however, i got swept up with the idea of thrust bearings and bought one. I blame Solware... Now, I am aware of this argument about needle bearings failing, but this one is different! Its got balls! Haven't received it yet but TX and I are very excited. The concern I have is that the existing spacers totalled 4mm/5mm and this bearing is 9mm
  7. The outer circle was drawn around a two pence peice. The shot to the left was the first i missed as the scope was out. Haha you smart alecs call me karate kid!
  8. Despite a pellet zipping past his noggin, this ex-idiot a) landed on what I was zeroing my rifle stayed put. Sadly, there was nothing left for me to eat...
  9. If you've got 8 beds for growing veg could you not use one for chickens and incorporate them into your crop rotation? Chicken tractors. They'll manure as they go too.
  10. Sounds like a plan! We've just got chickens and they are fantastic. They bring such life and pleasure to the garden and you can spend (and I have done) ages just zoned out watching them. An errant Labrador killed one when they were free ranging forcing us to ditch our idealistic plan and fencing them in. Whilst it breaks my heart I'd rather them alive and safe (they aren't the most switched on of gods creations) and dog walkers not to feel excluded from the woodland we all enjoy...
  11. I wish I wasn't so poor... welshpoacher, would a hug plus a christmas card each year buy me your set-up? I've got a pretty face too I'll let you touch it.
  12. Can I have 5 mins alone with her for a tenner? Make sure she's greased...
  13. I might sound it, but i'm honestly not jokin here. Think of how far the allotments are away from you, now use that distance as a radius around your home, i bet there is a strip of neglected land perfect for the job within that distance. Go and clear it. Dig it over, enjoy the random shit you pull out haha, and get gardening. Later, quietly erect a modest shed and maybe a chicken coop. I am certain NO-ONE will complain. If they do, so what? Cause no harm, injury or loss, and you are completely within the law and whats more, you'd be living your dream! Nothing to lose! The worlds a marvelou

  19. Got a great popgun. .50 cal, just had new leather seal, string, re-greased, polished stock, smooth bore, single shot, chrono'd at .978 ft/lbs with a .978 spread but thats because the cork needs some attention. Makes hunting a real test. A true mans man gun. In fact, no i've changed my mind. You can't have it. Jeez what was I thinkin! phew.
  20. Hi guys, My MK2 is getting tired (she is 17 this year) chrono'd her @ 10.6ft/lbs. She can still drop a rabbit and push a pellet through a skull but she needs some luvin. I was a wondering if any charitable folk here would mind sending me along some spacers. I wish I could treat her to a vortek kit but I can't justify it at the mo. Happy to pay postage or trade for some high scope mounts that are lying around doing nothing... I'll take as many as you have but I think two should do it (she already has two in there). Will try and squeeze another ft/lb out of her until I can afford to do th
