  1. I'd give you £70 posted for the pump if its in good nick.
  2. How much does he want for the pump posted?
  3. Wow, that wallet raiding mistress has a 'verminator' look about her! With hpa, you gain a regulated high shot count pcp. Potentially for a fraction of the price. These are truly purchases of the heart not head due to the large custom market. Or for the cash strapped 'wannabe'!
  4. You planning on using a remote line or is it a king ratty phantom? Bought all the parts and had an attempt to fix and service your pump today Mole, but no joy, I have an idea as to what is required, but with the weather being poor the van is full and i've no space to tinker :-(
  5. To provide a challenge as well as an education into the workings of a pcp air rifle, I took the plunge and purchased an XS79 for the princely sum of....£99. After some polishing, fiddling and faffing. I did it. Close up of the On/Off valve and HPA bottle on the QB/ XS79 Now this path is very well trodden and recounted by men far more adept than I. To that end I have compiled my research and hereby offer it up to you for all those wish to try this very worthwhile project for themselves. Pics, Links, How to's and More for the QB/XS79 HPA/PCP
  6. Lets not be shy, XS/QB79 conversion info, Pics, Links, How to's for everyone! http://www.mediafire.../?pm8ul7vof6t1r
  7. Oke doke, info incoming eta 20:00 (when tiddlywinks go to bed and i finally sit down!)
  8. The 79 is easier and i can email you a conversion info pack ive compiled. You'll certainly learn about air rifles and how pcp works! It's a fascinating project and well worth the effort in my opinion, but like I said, not for the faint hearted. Mines a .22 doing 11.8 with accupells/crosman premier ultra magnums. A couple of coils off the hammer spring should bring her to a more efficient and comfortable safety margin. I can email some pics if your interested.
  9. Ali, I strongly recommend Arns 95. It's brand new! Walnut luxus stock, genuine silencer less than 8 weeks old if memory serves me. I'd have whipped it off him if i didn't already have one.
  10. I've no experience of shooting nor working on Gamo air rifles so cant help on that front. Regarding a possible change of gun I'd advise you assess your needs and what level of investment you're prepared to make. The chaps have already put forward the very best springers though I'd lean to air arms over weihrauch due to some poor finishing on two new hw95's I've tuned recently. New, those guns are £300 and up. Secondhand, £200+. Pcp think £500+ with charging gear new £350+ s/h If funds are low then sure, the smk208 series are worth looking at (pianoman is too kind) but buy from a repu
  11. Nice shooting. My stretch of penance is just beginning after a recent splurge... gunna be a while before the lead hits my local matchbox shakers. Glad someone is picking up the slack.
  12. Cracking shot and well done filming it.
  13. Great post and good shooting! Yum yum. Thanks Elliott.
  14. Difficult to say isn't it. I guess if you paid for a 10 ft/lb jobber, you darn well expect a 10 ftlb jobber!
  15. http://www.solware.co.uk/air-pistol-air-rifle/Webley-Rebel-UK-Spec-Pump-Up-Air-Rifle.shtml £119 is what they're asking. Knowing a Mole's ability to sniff out a bargain I'm guessing you shaved a few off that. 10 ftlbs is sufficient, and comfortably within limits, though I'd plump for .177 personally. An FAC version at 14ftlbs is an interesting option. One tenth of the price of an FX independence. 3 year warranty! I'd have that voided rather quickly as I ripped it open. I would use it as a project platform to smooth out and fettle. £119!!! I cannot comprehend how that can cover materials
  16. Tah wurz, got some more in the works too for you, so watch this space...
  17. Wow! Thats incredible Elliott, nice pic too. Looks like you'll be kept very busy and reaping the satisfaction in reward. Superb stuff.
  18. Alot of truth is said in jest! Ask my missus if she liked my winter beard... i really noticed the cold on my face after shaving it. No wonder the scandavians favour them. "smelt like dog" i'm told
  19. Agreed, and many thanks Whizzie. Great insight there.
  20. Thanks for the offer Davyt. I'm not one to refuse a gift out of turn, but I think i'll be ok mate. I think the 'woodshed' could use some attention though; A darn good tidy up is order me thinks.
