  1. Unique. Yet natural. From nature and intrinsically a part of it.
  2. We appear powerless to stop this disease, so what else is there but to allow "nature to take its course"?
  3. how can it be natural if its imported Do you mean native? no, the disease is believed to have arrived in the uk from imported ash from the continant. so its not a natural occurance in the uk, its a consiquence of mankinds interference That may be the source of its introduction in this instance I don't dispute that. The disease originated from nature i presume. The area of origin most likely had a high population density of ash. But consider this, is man not natural? man is the only thing on this plannet that can interfere with nature I don't believe that is true. To v

  5. In response to your original question, does importation make something unnatural? Foreign, perhaps.

  8. Personally, what surprises me, is thay people are surprised! This is a natural cyclic mechanism that ensures diversity and crushes 'monopolies' species may gain. From death, comes life.
  9. Wasn't this little beggar I snapped t'other day was it? I suspect it's he thats nabbed two of my chickens....
  10. Check this forum or my blog for my hpa/pcp conversion of the xs79 (78's big brother)

I converted a 79 to pcp for £74. The two parts just screwed into the paintball threads. A 78 could have a remote line or pcp rated 'salty' tube. Both are very straight forward. Cheaper than a hatsan at44/webley raider pcp too.

Crosman premier ultra magnums slid through my 79 beautifully.

To answer your first question (sorry), yes, but keep the co2 warm in cold weather.

Convert it to hpa/pcp. Head over to the ukchineseairgunforum or ask jetski on Airgunforum.
  15. After a couple of no shows, and following the recommendation of another trail cam owner to utilise the burst mode, I got Mr Fox on camera! What intrigues me most is the timing of his incursion. Last time it was 20:18 with the rabbit photographed at 01:02. The time stamp puts this latest one at 01:40. Very close to the time his prey was about. My musing is this, was Mr Fox able to determine an approximate time to expect his meal from the rabbit faeces? Most pleasing were these snaps; Deli
  16. Don't take mine! Just bought it t'other day and its great, some errant pheasants photographed at 3 today so i'll be waiting, tx in hand tomorrow! Be aware that some upgraded models have gprs enabling photos to be emailed or sent via mms. I don't like the idea of tampering with/stealing other peoples kit but equally one could argue they shouldn't be abandoning expensive cameras for people to 'salvage', so each to their own...
  17. updated post so hopefully pics will show for those who had trouble.
  18. The new Webley Rebel is £112 new I think. Secretagentmole has/had one.
  19. Aye, a deer would have a longer neck methinks. My wee must be powerful stuff cuz our fencing isn't!
  20. To catch the layer of the rabbit dung I spied, I employed my latest acquisition. A Trail Camera. (Write up to follow in due course) The culprit was captured; But the other results were somewhat worrisome; A Fox. A Comparison; http://www.gatesheadbirders.co.uk/Design/Assets/images/Red-Fox.jpg A rather bushy, ghostly behind...(right hand side) Tonight I will re-site the camera so that subjects are caught approaching rather than across the field of view. I will also switch to video and, in futur
  21. He listed a bsa lighting on gunstar with that 'permission' and an ultra on gunwatch. Looks like there would be a few others with keys and letters...
  22. They are good milegajo, I have a week off work soon, so hopefully there will be plenty around to photograph when I am off! I imagine things are going to stay damp, so there should be a few about. I only recognise a handful though. Decided to venture out with the camera rather than the rifle before cabin fever set in.
  23. Cheers fellas. Yup, all my pics taken with a humble Hitachi HDC-1495E. Forty quid from Argos! Astounding how they have come down in price over the past 5 years.
