No mate but i will be when i get my terrier. The recall is standard across the different sports though and the bad image things like this give reflects on the whole shooting/dog community. Digger- got Springers, JRT pup, hopefully a bitch when my mates Russell bitch gives birth in a few weeks. Good choice of dog or not? standard shit talk on hear,bad name for our sport ect ect dogs have been after cats since tom and jerry began get a grip ffs What are you on about? I hate cats but everyone bangs on about 'control your dogs' and then a thread like this comes along. Shouldn't let a dog off the lead without perfect recall, ever. No wonder the sport gets a bad press fook me.

If you're using dogs off the lead shouldn't their recall be 100%? How you can justify it by saying the cat was in the field where you have permission, so what? Crazy.

I remember one of the first times i went rough shooting one of the beaters was shouting and screaming that a hare was on it's way towards the pegs and as soon as it ran passed the tree line, 3 or 4 shooters put both shells into it. That's the only time i've ever seen one and i've never seen one since in all my shooting around here. It was huge and i thought it sad that it was more or less decimated and no real meat could be salvaged from it considering what a fine animal it was.

I wouldn't sell or even give her to someone who doesn't care as much as to buy a few collars and instead prefers to throw them down a hole and if they don't come back, just buy another. She's staying with me.

fair enough if you have a good dog and your a good beater. But round here you can be the shittest beater with the worst dog. but just because you have a dog you are better than someone without one. Some of the beast beating I have been apart of is where there was not one single dog in the line P.S. that was not aimed at you just having a general rant lol. Was there much flushed there though? Walking over graves and putting my left shin pad, sock and boot on before the right. Went to France with school once and a church floor was covered in paved but marked up graves, made my arse squeak that i hate it.
