  1. totally agree i had a semi auto anshutz. very loud inconsitent velocity trigger was very heavey and not ajustable i strugged to get 3-4 inch groups at 50-60y however those 10 22 are supose to be good.
  2. £83 posted. very fast at ranging. as new condition, used for a couple of hours.
  3. just realised your talking about me on the last bit. yes i can hit A PLASTIC MAGPIE at 145 consitently with no wind with a 36 fpe air gun. so no i'm not lying you should see me do it before you start slagging what i have said off.
  4. i tried to import a scope from the us last year but no go becuase there is a trade embargo on scopes from the us with more than about 4 x mag! customs can and do seize such goods. i have imported stuff from the far east for years and the duty is small say 2 / 3% the vat is the same 20% but this has been for other goods not firearms from the far east
  5. hi dan i am in derbyshire i have a cut down browning 52 looking for somthing like the dm80
  6. right the good news is i found my camrea charger lead so i can film a u tube video of my FIRST 100y attempt shortly. the bad new is 500 eley subs are now £49!!!! somthig about the lead price going up. nice gun dealer tho as he threw in a box of old cci velocitors to hold back the tears. thanks to the dealer in sheffield near hillsbourough. browns lock stock and barrel. nice guy and nice little shop. the other good newsi'm in love! no not really, but the gun dealer has talked me into a nice .22-250 mannlicher with an oh so amazing trigger which you have to push forward for the hair tri
  7. thanks guys. i have to say considering the cobra merlin is only a gen 1 it works well with a god laser and scope and is really light. unlike the archer gen 3 i had which weighed a tonne.
  8. welcome to the site mate, how you enjoy.
  9. I wouldn't want to loose my rifle license though.............. How many acres would it require,to house 30,000 birds lab? All depends on what type of sheds you have. Easy on 5 acres anyway. i have 6 acres wraped round my house + an acre of woodland which is doing very little. are there many gamefarmers in the derbyshire area anyone knows about? obvisosly i know nothing about game farming and would need to work with someone that has a clue.
  10. i put them on photobucket and then click the picture symbol centre bottom row. i buy my eley sub hollow points by the 500 at £43 i have to go 30 miles to get them.
  11. ok so i lost 14 chickens and got 1 left to date. so a number of weeks ago i decided enough is enough. when i started on this little project i spotted on many occasions that there were 3 foxes i kept spotting moving across my field every so often. after dark after a few nights of spotting this one out of range (the last of the 3 foxes alive!) i ended up waking up late last night with a bit of a gut problem which left me in the bathroom from 2am - 2.30 am! after which i could not get to sleep. so i decided to get the .22lr out and pop my head through the back door. cr
  12. this morning i got 10 rounds out the cabinet not 50 not 30 but ten. i layed down and just took 10 shots then put the gun back in the cabinet. and these were .22lr velocitors 1400fps which in my experinece are not as acurate as the eley subs. i tried to get a good group on each but not very very hard. 100y for both targets with wind of about 3-4mph. one was with bypod and the other was free hand. 4 shots 2 inch free hand. 5 shots 4 inch freehand. the closest 4 shots 0.9 inch with bipod all 5 shots 1.4 inch with bipod. currenty run out o f eley subs as i used the
  13. i'm with you rich. my gun does it all day long if i'm up to it on the day. some guy out there get a bit upset when there kit can't do it or they can't do it. the dummy goes flying out the craddle.
  14. my zero on my .22lr is 50y rake aboot I don`t doubt it, this goes back to earlier threads, with some claiming massive distances for zeroing, And someones just in the huff with me cause I neglect to forget the utter bullshit they posted when they first came on THL. ATB bud Rake well belive what you want you sound like a very anrgy man. my zero has always been 50 yards becuase you could not figure it out from my threads heres my ammo trajectory which has taken me months to perfect. 18. mate i have to go to plymouth in the next two months on business. if your interested i will bring my .22lr and meet you down your way, let you have a go with it. IF YOU DON'T GET AN IMPRESSIVE GROUP WITH MY browning 52 target rifle /.22LR I WILL BE VERY SUPPRISED. you can pay for the rounds though! i think i should be able to put it on u tube off my camera.
  19. thanks mate. to be honest mate i have never measured it in inches so i am not to sure. what i did was shoot loads of rounds at targets from 20 - 190 yards. for 3 months writing down where each bullet hit at different ranges all the time. like mapping the trajectory. i then put it all into a graph and made a table and stuck the table to my rifle but. now when i see the spot i want to hit i measure the distance with a range finder then looked on the table to see the aim point and without changing my 50y zero i use the mill dots down from centre. usually shooting at 10x my scope recital i
