  1. If you only have room for 1 and don't want something too big, try a whippet x Maybe beddy, border, lakey or some terrier!!
  2. Cheers mate, still nothing popping out to me!! Everything always comes back to jack russells!!
  3. After looking at the cairn it is something that appeals, just finding a working bitch that someone is going to mate up!!!
  4. Ferret rescue have a hob handed in, found in the smethwick area off the West Midlands. If anyone has lost 1 contact me to see if its yours!! Thanks
  5. Cheers fellas, its all just ideas at the minute, won't be purchasing anything yet so getting advise. As for the cairn, I know back in the day they were worked but my concern was whether anyone still used them and was actively breeding them. I know spaniels do the job well for the guns but wanted something a bit smaller but still rough. Thanks again
  6. Haven't chosen the cairn yet mate, name popped up due to size, coat etc. I do a few golf courses with some heavy cover so 12inch is my ideal, my uncle has 2 springers, too big!
  7. Anyone have or seen a little cairn terrier work cover for rabbits, how well did/do they work? Ill be looking for 12inch bitch for thick cover, pushing rabbits to lurchers and the cairn popped up!! Thanks
  8. Going for fac very soon and looking to purchase a .22lr. Not going to spend mega bucks as it is my first, looking maybe cz, have shot 452 American. What other options are there, with short, "hunter" style barrels, 5-8 mags? Thanks
  9. Always feed any adult dog I have 1 hour after good exercise at night, believe they make the most if the proteins, fats and vits from their food and it settles them for the night. Pups have access to kibble all the time till 10-11 months then in 1 feed like adults.
  10. Nice looking pup. I normally get the kids to throw some names around n I pick one of those!!
  11. Missed the boat on what exactly, millions of dogs, millions of shit quality collars being sold and having to be replaced. I thinks rope collars and leads look shit but I never said that till now, if you put a collar once on your dog, then how is what I offer pointless, my not be for yourself. My theory is buy quality, buy once! Thanks for your input. Regards Spence thank god we dont all think the same i think rope leads are groovy Place would be as boring as feck if we did mate!
  12. Sound advice, appreciate it mate, Regards Spence
  13. I'm calm mate, my manners are in place and I hold my nerve!! Regards Soence
  14. That collar was used for illustration purposes only, not what I will have to offer but thanks!!

  16. Nothing mass produces, no big machines, all sourced in Britain, All hand made.
  17. No worries mate! Showing ain't for everyone!!! Regards
  18. Then why worry about people who do then As I've said throughout the thread mate, each to there own. Thanks for the input and I appreciate critism. I like the aesthetic look of the collar and the practicality of it whilst walking, I do show, staffords, may even try my hand at showing my beddy x whippet, ill also use one of these collars as its my choice. I agree the dog should be on the judges mind, not the show set or handler, conformation and condition being upmost important., by ill turn my dog out in the best condition and the best collar I can afford! Regards Spence
  19. Thanks for the constructive critism, I use collars while road walking the dog, I believe bigger collars protect the throat more so than a thin collar or rope. True these are probably more desirable to the show goers, which may be the minority, I'm not sure! I don't seen these making as much noise as a human climbing over a gate but do see you point about getting snagged, which I why I don't use a collar now on my dog whilst lamping. Thanks again, Regards Spence
  20. Pm me the link if you can please!!! Thanks
  21. All collars, leads and harnesses are made with traditional methods, hand cut and stitched using high quality bridle leather, brass rings and fittings sourced in Britain, all made in Walsall, West Midlands. I wouldn't try and sell shit to anyone, I use these day in and day out on other breeds, as I will with the lurcher type collars, the image I used was for illustration purposes only, these are not my collars. These are for people who want a quality, lasting, hand made leather collar for the charges, not for everyone! Regards Spence
  22. Buy one from eBay then mate. Regards Spence
