  10. Cheers guy's, ground is hedgerows, thick golf course rough so talking blackthorn, brambles, nettles etc. Got some decent hunter wellies, piled on the layers over the last few seasons but crawling under thorn, still penertrates into knees and elbows so decent wax is my upgrade!! Regards
  11. Hi all, As the ferreting season is just beginning, bad weather and thick cover needs cutting back in looking to get some warm, waterproof, thornproof wax gear, jacket and trousers. Obviously barbour would be my option if money was no problem, but looking at some cheaper, yet still tough and keep me dry/warm. Anyone use the dickies gear, thicking this may do the job but dont want to be soaked in sweat if they are not breathable? Or anyone recommend anything else? Regards

  13. Thanks chaps for the advise! It's more about having the rabbits to put under her more than anything, my perms are ferret and shooting, golf courses and schools which don't offer the conditions to actually test her in the lamp. Sure anyone will appreciate that putting up against a golf course bunny, even half grown is a lot to ask which is why I asked on here. Regards

  19. I like to think the rough coat give a little mor protection in the bramble. I do love the cocker but they are bonkers, a little too big for my needs and how do they fair with ferreting?!! Sporting Lucas may be the answer and are more often used as workers than the cairn!
