  1. Do you do Baked Potato in your pressure cooker Moll.....wrapped up in tin foil, melt in the mouth stuff...... how do you bake a potato in a pressure cooker lol
  2. lol not gonna change it to much gonna put a nice shine down the blade but not gonna go to far with the rest of the blade. took an flap paddle to it the other day with reasonable results but when i stuck it on the linisher it dulled it off again. whats best plan of action from here? blade edge i thought i will do last but what about rest of the blade mass to get best effect im not gonna get a mirror to it as its quite pitted and as the paddle spins thought im best off linishing then would you still go through the grits and would you do the handle before or after. handle is gonna be the elm

  5. to be honest i think im gonna buy mine in future as there is some quality craftsmen about who can knock them out in a few days and its not much more expensive than buying all the stuff .think its taken me about 3mth to make 8 all different sizes lol.the trick is to keep going as i keep starting and stopping and it becomes hard work like that.
  6. as above mate i went out with the air rifle the other morning and there was a precession of cars driving into a field, spoke to them and it was a club doin the farmers land next to my permission

  11. whats the best ? i know the traditional way on this is for it to go all the way through the handle and be mushroomed at the end but as im after a clean finish dont want to go down this route. is heat enough to hold it in or should it be epoxyed in place as i dont fancy it flying off. should it be step drilled then epoxy, or step drill heat then remove and epoxy i think the latter would leave an unclean surface to stick to. seen a youtube vid of it step drilled with a small exit drilled half way then filled with epoxy and left before shaping. atb
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Devcon-Two-Ton-Epoxy-256-gram-twin-Bottles-S33-/251051574518?pt=UK_Crafts_JewelleryMaking_GL&hash=item3a73d704f6#ht_500wt_922 two ton epoxy resin, another member told me to use this and ive just been reading about it on a knive makers website.
  13. something more like this? took me nearly an hour lol .dont really want to change it to much might straighten the handle out though.
  14. apparently you need every grit if its for the blade and you wanting a top finish
  15. epoxy and different grits mate coarse then some finer ones to finish off but only going off what others have told me and read . just trying to get some bits together my self. do tou have your blank already or making your own? atb
  16. as title says does anyone have any of these type of books they no longer require for free or cash atb
  17. more in line with the blade ? yer it needs changing maybe more pressure also ,suppose to be grit which i thought would of cleared it with ease, would it not need heating to change that much ? as you can tell its distorted slightly but shouldnt be noticable once it all same colour
  18. cant belive its not been snapped up already mate ,cheers for mine
  19. well this is after the first blast on the linisher think it needs a fresh sanding belt didnt go mental with it,taken out most damage to the spine and some of the surface rust not very good pics like not sure how im going to tackle the indent might smooth it out slightly the blade is quite pitted and will need a bit of work to get a smooth finish. got a week off next week so will get more time to get on
