  1. Funniest thing.........Tuzo are tiny and normally black!
  2. Two brothers for sale - 6.5month old, one will make about 11lb the other 8-9 i think. Stag 1 (Bigger of the two): Stag 2 £70 each, north west uk.
  3. Probably has a bit of Asil in there but mostly other breed(s) for me, and not asian ones.
  4. They were a meat bird first i believe - the large feet being a delicacy..
  5. No. As far as i know they are not in the UK. They are better known as Ga Ho, and originate in Vietnam....fantastic arent they!
  6. Dont be harsh lads....horses for courses aint it.
  7. Gamerooster - not only does that post show you selling birds, but not only that - theyre not even yours! If thats not peddling...well...i dont know what is. Something i think people forget is that not everybody wants to use their birds for the same reason. Duckwing stated a cull is a cull - but different people have different reasons to cull. Im not into all the large fowl at all, but i know lots of people that cull top class smaller stuff - because its not as good as the parents, who may be some of the best examples in that country. If you put the 'cull' birds into a show, they would prob
  8. So, if i paid for an O Shamo in Japan, and legally had it imported, the seller is mike hunt and the birds rubbish? LOL. Just because you might not be able to buy decent quality, dosnt mean there are others that can't...
  9. His profile says 18 Aseel Shamo.....so how old is PatterdaleJoel? Since he has such knowledge on fowl he must have kept them 30-40 years?
  10. Guys........we keep ASIAN gamefowl................really, we're the outsiders...not them. Any asian people i know with fowl take bloody good care of them.
  11. Longer and out of proportion for what exactly?
  12. Did make me giggle a litle!
  13. Any difference in Ginger and Pumpkin, or is Pumpkin just an American term?
  14. Aparantly not mate, i was lucky enough to find the seller and he said its actually a mix of that and shamo. cheers
  15. Had it happen to me, with blood Ko Shamo! Your local auctions might be worth looking at, but realistically, we all know where they probably are - in someone elses shed
  16. Craig - They are neither Shamo nor Asil. Shamo originate in Japan, and Asil in India/Pakistan. I believe Asil and Shamo are in the makeup of them, but remember (as far as im aware) Brazils are just a crossed gamebird coming from Brazil for the pit..if its from brazil, or a line from brazil, its a brazillian....anything else is just a crossbreed, as is the brazil, but coming from somewhere less exotic!

Depends on what you keep them for. A white eye is preffered for show, and does also signify purity of breed.
  18. Thats what i was thinking Moll. They have asked for help with a health problem, not a discussion on whether other people would like to keep the breed they have or for the same reason. To be honest if something is treatable i will treat it - after all if i didnt want the animal in the first place i wouldnt bother to keep it...IMO necking a bird is sometimes the lazy option..
  19. Yes, Asil should have a pearl eye - but the standard says silver to gold. Also, the eye can lighten with age.
  20. As you can tell this guy is a very young bird, and not the best pics...hoping he's going to mature into a good bird. Cheers
  21. Im liking her expression - shame about the dark eye colour.
