  1. They are, and mine are nowhere near as good as Tuzos or examples in Japan - but i am a firm believe of culling birds that dont fit - maybe good quality Kos are hard to come across because more people breed and keep bad quality ones, rather than culling the worse ones and breeding from their better ones..if that makes sense!
  2. Here is a pullet and the head of my older hen...eyes could be lighter in the hen, but i think the pullets eyes are lightning all the time..need to put her to a stag with good shoulders!
  3. Yes, each to their own - but they should still comply with the standard. My birds arent the best, but theyre at least fitting the standard. Have a look at some of Tuzos birds - thats what you should be aiming for, or photos of Ko Shamo in Japan..on the forum Tuzo has posted some photos recently, have a look at em.
  4. Sorry Moll, you're right! I was just taken aback by the people asking if they were for sale!!
  5. I dont like them. I dont like how the wings are carried, i dont like the stags tail, i dont like how much feathering he has, or how long his hangers and sickles are. The hen/pullets tail isnt right - pointing upwards, dosnt seem to have its thirds...does nobody else see this apart from Tuzo???
  6. As i said on the other one - fantastic mountains...and for me the wings are carried perfectly haha..
  7. Terrible bird - only good for the pot. As above, looks like OEG banty or something. Tail too long, not prawn/shrimp tailed, Facial expression all wrong - but this is only wrong and not correct for a Ko Shamo - of which this bird is not.
  8. As far as im aware, Hmongs are people who live in Mountain regions of China, Vietnam etc..
  9. No idea about cocking really, but i tell you what that guy can skin a rabbit faster than most chefs ive seen!
  10. What was the programme called mate and when was it on? Missed it but would love to find it online!
  11. Indian asil x Jap? Whats a Jap? Do you mean a Shamo? Does look to be some Asil in there for me too....if they make you happy mate, thats all that matters!
  12. Yes mate i think so..dont know if he will be as good as Hercules though, the only problem with him was he was a bit heavy.. Yep you'll have seen these photos on the other groups mate..the pullet is molting her tail out now, will get some pics of her when shes done.. Thanks
  13. I only keep Kos really (have a large shamo/asil hen...probable hybrid, looked like a shamo when young but now looks like theres some asil in there)..and unfortunatly my stag was killed in the bad winds we've had recently...will be getting another of the same bloodline soon though, will stick some photos on...got a few pics of hens though, al stick em on in a sec. Im no expert by any means - but i know that is not like other shamo ive seen.. Young pullet.. This was my stag, sadly died.. Hen Not the best (certainly not like Tuzo's photos!) but they are indeed pure Kos
  14. These aren't pure birds of any description..definatly not Shamo.
  15. "Sharma" is how some northern folk say Shamo...the ones that dont usually know much. Someone cumbria way always selling the BEST ginger sharma in the north aparantly - very game - at 5 months old...!
