  1. Liking the Elvis theme lol i have various drawings will put some pics up later in the week, but as they are pencil only not sure how clear they will look. Just finished a shooting man and his dog having a disagreement over a scent trail called mans best friends, its funnier than it sounds, hopefully.
  2. thanks for the replys folks, some very good ideas, keep them coming. I will up the stakes and say i will draw out a pencil sketch for the best idea and send it on to the winner (if they want it of course lol). I think 2.8 guy and his Stoats are winning so far, just for the ammount of thought gone into it.
  3. A bit random i know, but i was after any ideas for hunting sketch cartoons you may have seen or can think of. i do a bit of drawing as a hobby and enjoy the comedy hunting cartoons best, any ideas for drawings would be appreciated, cheers.
  4. I personally wouldnt really see a dog thats backs off the odd hedge as a poor specimen, when it could well be using its brains it all depends on the situation. Obviously if its on the back off a catchable bunny them it could be at fault, but too many dogs plough into hedges for lack of brains when there was no chance of a take and written off for weeks with an injury. A good lurcher would imo most likely have more brains than a whippet but that doesnt mean it wont have vets bills. If you are running a dog, i think you have to accept the possible costs and the fact the dog will most likely have
  5. will do next time i am out, you might see the bouvier in shot as well, but that dog is just out for the exercise and hasnt got a clue lol
  6. I have to agree with using a dog and it doesnt have to be specialist breed. I have a schnauzer and he has been easy to break to the ferrets and will mark holes reasonably well, that said he aint so good on the bolters (without nets) but you cant fault his effort. I will get a whippet one day and hopefully become a total ferreting dog.
  7. If its the dog i think it is, then its a well known border stud dog from North wales, dont know anything about its work, but i know the guy who owns it does shows his border dogs alot around wales and north west. My brother has a bitch out of this dog which is a good worker and steady little bitch.
  8. My old man has a decent greyhound/ beddy cross that gets plenty of work and can be traced back to an excellent track dog he owned a while back. 4 year old fawn rough coated dog stands 23 1/2 to the shoulder. it was advertised for stud in earth dog running dog recently, stoke on trent area. Let me know if you want more info sure he would be happy to help. Cheers
